Anyone know what the best way to order one was last year? (In the UK, wondering about App vs website on iphone /iPad). And when did orders start? Vaguely remember it not working till at least 8.20ish?

The eastern time zone has 47 percent of the US's population, yet Apple continuously sticks us with the worst order hours.

Let me know if I have any of the time zones wrong here and I'll update. It can be a little tricky with daylight savings in different places, but hopefully I've got an accurate list.

I'm not sure if it's avilable there, but you're missing the time zones which are not at 1 hr offsets from UTC, so India, Australia Central, Nepal, etc.

Can you pre-order and have it delivered to a store? I will be in Chicago on the 21st would like to get the phone there.
Yes you can. As long as you order it from Apple and select the store in Chicago as the store you want to pick it up.

Pre-orders for the iPhone XS, XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4 will kick off on Friday, September 14 at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time, allowing customers to purchase one of Apple's newly announced devices.

Apple is planning to make the new devices available in multiple countries around the world simultaneously, so we've created a list of when pre-orders will kick off all around the world.

We haven't listed every time zone for every country, such as in Canada, Russia, and the United States, so make sure to double check your specific time zone so you're certain you know the exact time that pre-orders will kick off. A time zone converting website is a useful tool for confirming accurate pre-order times.

Rumors have not suggested that supplies of the iPhone XS and XS Max will be constrained, but it is always best to pre-order as soon as possible if you're aiming to get a new device on launch day.

We also haven't heard rumors about Apple Watch Series 4 supply, but given that this year introduces major changes like larger displays and ECG functionality, available supply could go quickly.

iPhone XS and XS Max pre-orders are available September 14 in first wave launch countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the UAE, UK, US and US Virgin Islands.

Pre-orders for the cellular Apple Watch Series 4 models are available in Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UAE, UK and US.

Non-cellular Apple Watch Series 4 models are available for pre-order in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jersey, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UAE, UK, US and US Virgin Islands.

The first pre-orders for new iPhone and Apple Watch models will arrive on Friday, September 21, the official launch date for the iPhone XS, XS Max, and Apple Watch Series 4.

A true apple fan would travel to all the stores, buy one iphone each, and give them as charity to a school of orphans, such as the Menorah school in bogota, a school for orphan chigirls

Can you show even 1 article where this has happened in the past with New iPhones?

You won't even get 1% of discount even on Black Friday or Christmas from Apple for iPhone XS/XS Max or iPhone XR!

He's referring to the iPhone XR, which is coming out in a month, isn't exactly the same phone but-- close enough-ish, and is like 20% less.
[doublepost=1536866307][/doublepost]Here's hoping I have power Friday morning. That's 7:00am, sorry Apple but 3:00am isn't in the cards.

If I was to order as a new customer using the Apple Upgrade Program is that the same timings for pre order?

I live in Scotland but will get one sent to Houston for my other half who is there. Her 6 is dying big time.

How does in-store pick up work; how do I get it set up? Being able to get my phone in the morning, have it restored in a few hours, and having the rest of the day would be pretty nice compared to waiting all day for FedEx.

Order it for in store pickup, choose your appointment window, show up, wait in line briefly, get escorted in, scanned sign and done. Phone is set up immediately so I’m not sure where you’re getting a few hours from.

Is anyone having an error when they do the preapproval now with T-Mobile?

I’m entering my correct pin and number but this comes up and T-Mobile don’t know anything about this after calling them.

In a way everyone should boycot Apple/buying these new iPhones, maybe then they will think twice about those ridiculous prices, a base iPhone Xs sets you back €1150, that's €300 more than in the States, and that's not all, if we would get the same features as in the states but sadly Apple still think it's an American company, guess what, it's not, it's a global company.

*Yes, I expect iPhones to be a bit more expensive here in Europe but they're just price gauging customers.

It's a shame they dont move that back an hour or 2 hours; maybe make the east coast 1am instead of 3am.

I get they want midnight in their Pacific time zone, but c'mon. The internet orders don't care about that. If you were opening store doors, ok that's one thing.

By that list it would only move Europe back to 6-7am from 8-9am which isn't some crazy time like 3am.

Kinda suck eastern time US/Canada gets the hose every year.
I don't care what the internet cares about. The iPhone is the product of western innovation, so it makes sense to plan the launch according to the timezone of where headquarters is, which is California.

How is it after all these years that US East coast is still screwed into waking up at 3am to preorder? This has and continues to suck.

The eastern time zone has 47 percent of the US's population, yet Apple continuously sticks us with the worst order hours.

Yup, said that on the first page. There would be no harm to anyone pushing it back 2 hours to 1am Eastern. If so, the next earliest time would only be 6am UK which isn't THAT early. Better than 3am.

They would get a LOT more pre-orders not at 3am Eastern and not on a Thursday night into a Friday workday.

You know your prices include VAT and our prices do not include any taxes, right?

Maybe that’s the point?

Same deal in New Zealand.
We pay the equivalent of 1389 USD for a base XS Max. Including tax.

Although I do wonder if the prices you see in the keynote are US tax excluded
