Don't believe the watch will be flat (like the Ultra) as one of his posts mention but it lends further credence to the idea that the AW10 sizes will be 42mm and 46mm like a few people already predicted earlier in the summer and not the lazy copy paste of "45/49mm" across the internet - which is more likely the diagonal size.
Thanks for posting these!

I’m losing hope that the Series 10 will have an action button. I’ve enjoyed going back to my S7 Graphite after wearing an Ultra for more than a year but I miss that action button!

thank god the rumor of 45/49 is false (hopefully) bc my mom and sister were very sad to hear the smallest size would be 45.

Not a fan of the completely flat design. Maybe I’ll keep my S9 this year.

Everything that person says is hogwash. He posts any random thing he hears, no matter how contradictory or invented. He’s replying to people that he thinks the watch will be flat based on screen protectors, it’s his theory! Yet he tweets it like he’s reporting a rumor. Two seconds earlier, he said the display would be curved.

There are screen protectors for the current, curved watches that are flat. It means nothing.
That person is a joke. Actively ignore anything said.

Do not think Apple will do the blood pressure thing this year. It would need to be medically approved before they did. Looks like not much of an update this year. Maybe some new colors. Will be keeping my U2 fro another year. Happy with it. Would like to see a U3 with larger screen, in black DLC. Also bring back the leather bands! Loved the magnetic leather bands!

If they change the design of the Series 10 (rumours of bigger, maybe flat screen), but keep the same Ultra design but offer in black DLC.....it's going to be a hard choice for me.

Although I'm hoping for a black Ultra, I feel they need to round off the sharp edge of the screen bezel. Otherwise it's going to be easy to chip.
Perhaps remove that raised bezel altogether.

Looking forward to Monday to find out.

Fair, I posted mostly in regards to sizing after seeing so much panic of "45/49" over the summer lol. Looking forward to buying a 42mm personally.

I feel like this rumor was meant for the Ultra. The Ultra is 49mm...perhaps they're adding a 45mm size to the lineup? There have been quite a few people that wished the Ultra was offered in a smaller size.

I'm curious what will come about from the blood oxygen sensor ban earlier this year...
  • Is Apple even allowed to put the sensor in new models, but still have it disabled...hoping to re-enable it later?
  • Will they remove the sensor altogether, to save on costs?
  • Or since the ban only affects the US, will there be US and non-US models with different hardware?
  • Did they come up with a new/alternative method to get around the ban?

All good questions and I think we will find out the answer to most next week.

Yea, we will find out on Monday.
Also, keep in mind that Apple already had invalidated some of those patents and was rumored to try the same for the remaining ones…
I got my Ultra 2 on launch day, so have SpO2 but I will say if the new one gets announce without SpO2 I’d consider it a failure. Looking forward to Monday

Juicy new rumours … 9to5

According to reputable sources speaking to 9to5Mac, Apple Watch Series 10 will have more than just bigger screens. This includes an updated ECG/heart rate sensor that will unlock new features and provide more accurate results. One of these features is sleep apnea detection (…) We’ve also heard that Apple is changing how the health data collected by these sensors is processed. This includes using new algorithms in the Health app on the iPhone to look for atrial fibrillation, rather than on the Apple Watch itself. (…) To take advantage of the new screens, Apple will introduce new watch faces. This includes “Reflections,” a watch face that reacts to ambient light. There’s also a new Hermès watch face called “Regatta,” which was created with the sailing sports competition of the same name in mind and will let users easily start a timer right from it. Interestingly, we’ve also heard that Apple will make this new Hermès watch face available for the Apple Watch Ultra, which could be a hint that there will be Hermès bands designed specifically for Apple Watch Ultra. (…) Back to the Apple Watch Series 10, these models will have improved water resistance. (…) Because of this, the Series 10 models will get Apple‘s Depth app, currently exclusive to the Apple Watch Ultra.

I am no expert but my understanding re sleep apnea is that it relies on blood oxygen measurements, so assuming they have a new sensor for ECG/heart rate that can also read blood oxygen, well then we should get SpO2 back??

Only the weekend to pass by to find out what actually will be released ;)

There are now speculations of 42/46, 44/48 and 45/49 variants. One would have to be correct right?

I’m guessing 43/47 so now we’re all covered.

A retailer here in Sweden (with brick and mortar stores) has since a few days ago already posted protective cases for the AW10 in 42mm and 46mm sizes in their online shop.

So if the smallest size will be 42mm, will the bands previously designed for 38mm/40mm/41mm fit this new 42mm Watch? I am more than ready to finally retire my Series 4 (40mm) Watch & have quite a large collection of official bands. As I have small wrists, I really do not want to go much larger than my current watch (& would obviously like to continue using my existing band collection). The original rumour of the smallest size this year being 45mm, prompted me to consider getting a Series 9 41mm (Graphite), which is now available to pick up at a discounted price in the UK...but if Series 10 will be 42mm, slimmer depth and compatible with my existing band collection, I will likely buy

Let's see on Monday! I would assume so..

i'm wondering the same thing myself. Really hoping they keep the bands for the smaller watches. We'll have to wait till Monday. I also think we won't be able to find out before then.

Possible they unify the band sizes. I mentioned it in another thread, but if the 'new' 42mm watch is both a larger display and the size of the 'old' 42, then it would be reasonable for them to just shift over to one width for all the watches. It would be awful for collectors, but I can definitely see them doing it.
