Between the K processor and the lower RAM speed, this is looking like a possible fake.

As much as I would like to believe this is legit, logic dictates that you are correct... I was trying to rationalize why the speed would be different and just could not do it...

Ah well still hoping, my 2006 is on life-support as it is so I am just hoping they are released before it goes...

My buddy Kuo has a new report out (https://www.macrumors.com/2012/08/3...edule-forced-by-delays-to-imac-and-ipad-mini/). iMacs are on the way. I find his iMac Sandwich launch schedule hilarious; the more plausible scenario is that the 21" sit in a warehouse and wait for enough 27" to launch in what seems to be late October.

I posted in that thread that I felt it would be much more likely that both iMac models would be announced in Sept. but shipping dates would be staggered... We have all seen that happen many times before with Apple and could also help with "calming" the natives eagerly awaiting a new iMac...

As always though, no one knows except Apple... All we can do is wait. :D

Both new models announced would definitely help folks to calm down, even if the releases are staggered. But I agree, all we can do is wait. And speculate and argue, etc :)

Suddenly the activity ramped up. It definitely seems like we will be seeing something soon now. I guess the screens are so ***** cool that they are hardly possible to create. Low stock upon launch is fine by me as long as I get one :D

But then, there could be a scenario that we get it all in the poss October event after the iPhone announcement in September.

October all new iPods and iPads mini and maxi all to do with the new dock connector - All Retina
Then and update on the 15" MBPr and how it has revolutionised the laptop market how well it has sold and now to follow wham 13" retina screens on the MB and MBA
and then to finalise it launch the new Retina 19-21" iMac.

it's the 'Great things for 2012' event... dominate not one, but many markets.

27's and a cheaper 21's get the spec bump on the quiet and we get new screens and form factor mid/late 2013 with new Pros and new TB displays to go with them.

OMG enough of this Kuo guy. These analysts are NOT investigative reporters with sources and are not good rumor material. It may as well just be any one of us posting our opinions based on whatever crap we hear and applying "well, too many products at once is bad so they'll space it out" logic to it.

Whenever I see that something is coming from a "market analyst" with respect to a mac product I roll my eyes and forget it. They're batting like 0.00001. Remember that Apple LCD Display we've all had since late 2011? Or that iPad mini we've been using since early 2011? Or that new 4.5" iPhone that came out last year? ...yeesh.

well, kuo has made some very accurate predictions before (rmbp to refer to something recent). He obviously have some contacts in the production line. So, based history, I think he is worth listening to. It seems 9to5 mac and macrumors have the same opinion.

Sorry for that but it is so frustrating to see, that Mac desktop users are once again abandoned by Apple with the release of new Macs...
Hey Apple, we are also a brick in the wall!

I just want a new 27inch iMac so I can efficiently create iOS apps for your customers. Is that too much to ask?

Ohh and I dont want to use old hardware either.

The power of self-delusion is very evident here at MacRumors. Oftentimes you guys sound like heroin addicts or something.

It's possible the iMac could be released tomorrow. But who knows. Yet people post with such certainty.

ok im so sick and tired of these new MPR news, like "omfg i can connect 3 displays", omfg the display is so awesome, omfg its fast, omfg this, that, this that" **** already ok we get it its an awesome machine get over yourselves, where are the imacs news, NO ONE is talking about them... they way over due and none of the rumors sites say anything about them because they are too busy jerking off to the new macbook pro.. am i right?? Seriously.. what do you guys think... so so pissed about it..

Best post ever.

Hopefully you're getting your new iMac man. :)

Black Friday coming! Would you order a 27 if it was available?

The problem with the delay in iMac 22 or 27 end 2012: would you buy one today knowing the fact that Apple has changed their banner to coming soon, probably due to a construction challenge?

At one time, the request was for a glossy vs mat version, I would like a fat version with DVD ROM vs the thin heated version ;-0

Still a green dot on iMac despite the unknown configuration or real release date!

This is simply an untrue statement. The banner has always said "coming soon" so nothing has been changed. In fact, if you look near the bottom of the iMac page it still says expected dates of the 21" November and 27" December.

http://www.apple.com/imac/

Plus, that rumor has been debunked on this site's main page.

https://www.macrumors.com/2012/11/19/new-imacs-still-expected-to-ship-in-november-december/

Let's face it they only need to release half a dozen to fulfil their commitment to a November launch date. What I do think though is that supply in the early days is going to be pretty limited, so I expect loads more threads with angst from disappointed customers.
