The reason that I say this, is many folks may be from one location but live in another country.

So true, i've lived in a few different countries throughout my life so far...

Judging by the results the question should have been "How many USA Mac users?".

6%, the same proportion as the US is to the World population more or less.

I'm in London in the UK. I've got a couple of Macs and I see plenty about. There's been much more interest in my macs from my friends in the last 6 months or so.

And EVERYBODY here owns an iPod.

Spelling?

Can someone please fix the spelling of 'Australia' in the poll? It has the 'i' in the wrong position and looking at it spelled that way is burning my eyes.

MY EYES!! THESE GOGGLES DO NOTHING!

UK. As mentioned earlier, there are a fair few people here who have macs, but they're far between people.

People I know who have macs are mainly music professionals, but no one else really seems to have one. Still get the "whos Apple?" remarks. *sigh* Poor old Lincoln.....

That's not quite true... Here in Lincoln, loads of students have Macs, because we use them for a couple of units at the University, fall in love and buy our own :)

Just wait till the US actually wakes up...it's between 2-5AM there right now.

I voted UK as that's where i bought my first Mac. There are even a few users in Nepal - there are two Apple-focused shops in Katmandu. I'm in New Zealand at the moment and Apple seems to be well entrenched here - lots of early macs floating around too.

London,

I'm a molecular biologist and there are a lot of Mac users in the biological sciences. I would imagine at least 30 to 50% especially in academia.

Im a Mac user from Germany between Denmark and Austria *winking2chaosbunnyandpressure* ;) Bought two new Macs in one week. A Macbook and iMac and I can see that more and more people are now interested in Macs, too. Especially in the universities I see alot of *whities* and the iPod is popoluar as ever.

I had one dream though that everyone had a Macbook at my school and that I didnt feel special anymore .... :p

Hong Kong.

I bought my MBP in August off the Hong Kong Apple website. I got it in 4 days and it's been brilliant. No funny noises or heat issues.

iPods are readily available everywhere. The new iPods and Nanos were on shelves 1-2 days after they were announced. Pretty fast.

Macs seem to be getting more popular in Hong Kong. I know a few people who have them and they're very happy.

South Korea.

but I have lived in US more than 15 years. yeah, it was combined with higher education (B.arch, M.arch, M.B.A), and a good job now. I have used mac about 13 years. I take advantage of macs as my job (architect). I haven't noticed yet there is better computer out rather than mac. happy. :)

Live in Sussex, work in London. I travel around on the train and for every 12 laptop users I'd say that 2 will be using a Mac.

There's a variety of various computers at work (TV company). Say about 70% Windows machines, 25% Macs, and 5% Linux machines.

I'm in Bangalore, India. Macs aren't very big here, but they are slowly starting to get some mindshare (mostly because of the iPod effect). AFAIK, we have only one exclusive Apple retailer in the whole country (luckily they are located here in Bangalore). There are other retailers who sell both Macs and PeeCee's, I guess.

Whoa!, im really shocked that the UK is the largest mac user base thus far as i rarely see macs here. In fact i see more macs in the states thatn i do here. In the UK its DELL. In fact asides from the Apple store i've only seen three macs in the wild a 20" iMac, eMac and a PowerBook
