I just got a status update from Apple... they said my order was unexpectedly delayed and now I won't get mine until Sept 13-17...... what the hell?

Anyone experience something similar to this?
 
12-core shipped first from China. It was damaged, so it was shipped to PA (probably fixed and shipped back out as a refurbed machine.)

New replacement shipped overnight from Fort Worth, TX, and arrived in fine condition.

Latest tracking shows it's at the ground facility near me. Still due to deliver on Tuesday. Today is Saturday. Can I pick it up myself? No, the facility is closed. :(

Mine is in a depot 15 miles away - it's killing me!!
 
I got tired of waiting for a change in order status so I cancelled the order. :eek:
I'll reorder the damn thing once the backlog is worked out. All no-base specs show a 3-5 biz day ship.

Mine shipped from Irving, TX and it is currently stuck in FedEx vehicle ready for next business day delivery. Ill get it on Tuesday.

Never fails, when you highly anticipate something in the mail you can bet that it will be a holiday weekend and it will arrive after the holiday.
 
6-core ordered on August 30, shipped from Fort Worth TX on September 2, and has been sitting at the local sort facility as of the 3rd awaiting delivery on the 7th.
 
Mine is shipping from Irving TX and the last update was Sept 11 at 5am saying in transit in Hutchens TX, but why havent I seen a new update yet?

I can see why it was not over the weekend, but shouldnt there be one by now? Mine is going to MA.
 
Mine just says it has been shipped by Syncreon Technologies (Does anyone know how to track these guys?) and will be handed over to the final carrier "soon" :confused:

Yes, definitely call them. If you have ordered other things with the Mac Pro as well, there might be one product that is holding the shipment and they might be able to split the shipment for you.
 
Well, just as I was getting completely fed up with this ordering experience... Apple appears to have finally pulled through and shipped my Mac Pro :)

Shipped today from Ft. Worth, TX and expected to arrive 9/16 in Austin, TX.

I still wish the experience hadn't been so stressful, but I'm glad it's finally on it's way.
 
Ordered on Saturday Sept 11... shipped from Ft. Worth, TX Tuesday Sept 14th...Arrival Thursday Sept 16th.

Custom 6-core. From Ireland to Continental Europe. Ordered 8 September, expect it 17 or 20 Sept.
They were going to ship my 6.000 euro six-core only in November 'cause the 80 euro HP printer wasn't in stock :mad:
Took me three days of mails and calls, now the MP has been shipped from Ireland to the Continent. Apple says i'll have it Friday, UPS says Monday.. but hey, a lot better than mid November :)

Edit: but my 30 inch, last-of-the-mohicans cinema display, straight from stock with an expected send-out of 24 hours is still not on the road... Go figure.

Ordered mine on Aug 18th. My order has been delayed TWICE!
Next tentative delivery date: Sep20-27.

Already called 3 times. No concrete answers. The call centre has no idea about anything.

You bet your ass I'm complaining... my order got canceled and re-added a week ago, plus it was delayed the week before that.

I agree that the call center doesn't know anything useful. Talking with them was woefully disappointing.

Same story here.
Funny thing is that I ordered the monitor (Dell 27") at the same time.
Well, got the monitor in like 5 days. And no Mac Pro yet.
Looking forward to be Windows free ASAP! :)
 
I really wonder what's going on at Apple. It doesn't seem to be limited hardware supply because some people are receiving the Mac Pros within days... whereas others have to way weeks/a month or so :(
