Again, replacements are brand new. I've already checked my serial number.

Which part of your serial number indicates it is new?

By the way, as I said some shops would just wrap the returned iphone then give out as resplacement.

TSMC is the superior chip. Apple is going fully with TSMC for a10 production also

Not according to Tom's Hardware.

As to Apple going full-TSMC, what makes you think that has anything to do with anything but price? (...And maybe to stick it to Samsung...)

This is getting ridiculous. Get your phone and enjoy it. Sheesh.

Tom hardware never told us where did the phones come from and should be 1 phone vs 1 phone.

I have already returned 6 phones by now but keep getting samsung chip. Please help
^ This is exactly the reason why Apple should start flagging people's Apple accounts from further returns after the first return. They should have a $70 restocking fee to prevent needless returns like this as well. If Apple had this I highly doubt people would keep "abusing" the return policy over nonsense such as this.....

OP: I would tell you that it doesn't matter what chip you have as long as your iPhone is performing well and not having any issues. However, with 6 returns already, I know it would be a waste of time.

where do I get iPhone 6s plus with TSMC A9 chip ? Which apple retail store/model has high possibility to have TSMC chip. Please share from your experience. I have already returned 6 phones by now but keep getting samsung chip. Please help
No where. Just keep the one you have. There is nothing wrong with the phone and not sure why you continue to return it jut to get the TSMC chip. I do hope that the Apple Stores near you will catch on and hopefully refuse you to do any more returns and exchanges.

When he finally gets a TSMC iPhone it will probably have some ugly screen defect :p or it will be August 2016!

Then and only then he will come to the conclusion there was no real-time performance differences between the two chips!

Exactly. If you keep swapping with the sole intention of getting a TSMC (which you absolutely shouldn't), the chances are that when you finally get one it will have some show-stopping fault. Then you exchange it and get another Samsung. Just give up!

There is no method to getting a TSMC A9 chip.
I have purchased 5 iPhone 6S plus (2 from Apple.com and 3 from Apple retail store)

My launch day full price A1634 iPhone 6S plus was a TSMC which I resold to my brother for a steep discount

I got a Verizon iPhone 6S A1688 from best buy (because I had to lock in on unlimited data before they raised the prices) on October 9th was a Samsung A9

I decided to go back to 5.5 iphone 6 plus. So picked new iPhone 6S plus A1634 Apple retail store on November 1st. That was Samsung A9.

Battery life on it was subpar (about 9 hours compared to 11 hours for my previous TSMC)

Went back to the store November 2 and got another Samsung A9. That phone also had a stuck sim slot where my nano sim was very hard to remove. So I exchanged it same day and got another Samsung A9 and that phone still had same defect sim slot too tight to eject.

So went back online to order from Apple.com and yesterday Friday November 6th got TSMC iPhone 6S plus.

I am currently running battery test on it. I still kept the Samsung A9 iPhone 6S from Monday and running battery test on it.

Currently full brightness just playing video streaming next to router Samsung A9 died at 4 hours and 40 minutes.
My just arrived TSMC iPhone 6S I got yesterday made it 4 hours and 56 minutes. So already a 16 minute different (both phones restored to new, on airplane mode, nothing running in the background.

The full tests are coming today in real time the next couple of days. Since I was able to repeat video tests which were already reported (that there wasn't much of a difference for video).

The real test comes from CPU intensive like gaming. That's where the big difference will be seen.

So if you are a regular joe usual, you shouldn't notice that much of a difference. But if you play games and video edit 4K, you the chip will matter more

How on earth can this forum help you in you quest of finding TSMC chip?

I'm an adult. Bought iPhone 6s + the other day, turn it on and now using same. Did not even think or tried to search for the CPU, and don't give a *&%&*# which one I have. That behavior is left to fanatics, and youngsters.
Battery life is very important especially for heavy users maxing out on iOS performance. In fact apple touts gaming in this ads a lot

Please stop :)
Hey wait a minute, this could be a money maker! Let's test how important the type of chip really is.

"Grandpa?"

"What is it Tommy?"

"When you were little what were some of the important issues of your time? I have a report to do for school."

"Well Tommy, I can still remember, almost 70 years ago the fuss made over those original iPhones."

"You mean the one implanted in my ear?"

Goodness, No Tommy, back then people had to hold their phones in their hand."

haha ..... "That's funny Grandpa, so what was the big issue back then?"

"Well Tommy, it all centered around the chip inside the phones at that time. It was on all the blogs, got more press than global warming"

"Was that when Florida was still above water Gramps?

"Yup, so here is what happened with the chip.............................................."

It is not about the number on the box. The model number inside your phone, which you can turn on your phone to check it and you cannot change it, tell you exactly if it is a real new one or refurbished. Of course you can always find people who don't care or know if it is refurbished and sell it to them, this is a business for sure.
Even a replacement iPhone 6S after 4 days had the model number beginning with N. New means M. All of apples refurbs begin with N. But obv 4 days after launch can't be refurbs yet they still start with N.

4 days after launch can be refurbs why not? With Apple money and depend on how they define refurb. May be even they receive a return then even do nothing about it would consider it a N model and hard code that? They may turn a M into N after receive a replacement, we don't know. Anyway if you go to trade a phone and it starts with N then they just treat it as refurb and decrease the price.

Lol.

Anyways my original phone started with C6 in serial number. M model number. 4 days later the replacement started with c6 serial number. N model number.

Apples refurbs never use similar serial numbers. For example all brand new iPhone 6 serial number started with C6, c7, f71, f17, dnp just to name a few. All the replacements that were obvious refurbs started with FF or FD. No brand new phones started with an FF or FD.

Plus. It's common sense there are no refurbs after 4 days.
