Yes indeed, the Brits do seem to be well represented in this poll. Here are some results thus far:

Thus, it appears that British and Australian/New Zealand forum members have a greater presence on these boards than Canadians and Americans, which appear to be underrepresented in terms of all native English speakers. By far it appears that Eastern Europeans and Asians don't like this poll (or me !).

I wouldn't worry about East Europeans or Asians not liking you, but your attachments don't seem to like this thread because they aren't showing.

Hmmm...they're working for me (I even logged out to make sure).

Edit: Ok, they stopped working for me too. *sigh* I'll just do it the old fashioned way.

Hong Kong, which technically would be South-East Asia. Although I go back and forth between here and Australia a lot, so a multiple choice poll would of suited me better.

I come from Manchester, specifically Cheshire, actually Wilmslow. This area used to be a nice place until Kerry Katona decided to live here.

Dear God, please kill me so I never see her in town ever again.

Pick whichever one you consider to be your 'home.'

Multiple choice polling would have been nice, but I'm affraid that it would have taken forever:eek:

As my signature points out, I'm from Hull in sunny Englandshire. :)

Hull is famous for many things... for example, we were for many years one of the world's leading manufacturers of the colour blue. The factory unfortunately has recently announced it is to close, the weak Dollar being cited as a key reason.

We also have a splendid football team who aren't quite as good as Watford but are better than Nottingham Forest. :D

Pinner Outskirts of North West London. Metropolitan Line on the tube. Admiral Lord Nelson saw fit raise his family here.

So quite frankly I am to posh for this chin waging site.

Bushey (arches) indeed!

Feel free to reply, or like me, get your butler to.

Well it's been a few days, and 144 members have voted. MR currently has a little more than 136,000 members, so the current representation is better than 1 poll respondent per 1000 members (better than the voter:Congressman ratio :p).

Here are some results thus far.

It's also interesting to note that 90% of MR users are native English speakers (I would have made a chart, but I hit the 5 limit max :p).

Hmm. Thought the dollar was green.

Liverpool, England.

Great city, great buzz about the place, more listed buildings than anywhere outside London.

Oh yeh - and more Georgian terraces than Bath (which is famous for them).

Plus beer is cheap :)

I was born and raised in Bloomington, MN home of the Mall of America the largest enclosed mall in the United States (soon to become even bigger). Other than the Mall there is not a whole lot of exciting things right in the City but we are only 10 miles from both Downtown Minneapolis and Downtown St Paul.

Where Are You From?

EDIT: sorry 'bout creating another thead, but the original one was locked.
Anyway, let's keep it clean here, shall we.
