Next to my bed shoved between the loft and my mattress so it doesn't fall down.

First I put on my otterbox case, then put it into 2 glad sandvich baggies, next I put it into a tiny lead lined metal box, and then into a fire proof box with a pad lock. I then put it into the safe in my panic room (5 inch thick re-enforced concrete) thats bolted to the ground. I also have a finger print scanner on the door of the panic room door. The room is water proof and under ground, so I rigged a pool draining system to fill the basement area around the room with water and drain when I need my phone. (it also electrifies the water as well) I also have a dead bolt door that leads to my underground safe house it has a bio-metric eye scanner, 2 key slots that must be turned at the same time (they are across the room and my wife usually will help me) and another full palm reader. I love my phone. :apple:

why do people keep their phones face down on the nightstand?

Either
A) so the front back doesn't get scratched since it's easier to scratch
B) it's the sexier side

Or the most obvious
C) so it doesn't light up the whole room if you get a text or call.

Anyway I leave my phone right next to my pillow by the wall when I sleep.

I don't have a nightstand table, so I put my alarm clock and iPhone 4 on my window sill beside my bed.

On my night stand with my alarm clock and flaslight. In my top drawer is my handy .40cal locked and loaded.

I try to keep it docked on my Sony iPod dock, but I'm usually playing with it before going to bed. So it (the phone) usually sleeps on the floor. Either that, or it somehow finds its way to the floor in the morning.

On my nightstand...face up:p

I have been told yes its ok to leave charging all night but also no its not ok... What is correct??

Can someone explain the facedown on nightstand thing? Why do you need to have it specifically facedown exactly

Docked on the nightstand. Although now after reading these I feel guilty it isn't snoozing on a feather pillow.

I always put my 3G face down bc i dont like cases so i didnt have the back protected. The front however had a screen protector on it. So if anything gets scratched, its my screen protector, not my backing.

The i4 has zagg front and back, so i usually place it face up on the nightstand. I sleep with a TV on, so it lighting up wont bother me.

B) i guess?

C) the lights not BRIGHT enough to light up the entire room anyways.
