Thanks LIVERMNYC, of course the option is there to introduce a bit of levity into the poll.

Still about two thirds North America and a third elsewhere, with some of the worldly options yet to attract a response.

Levity that skews your results if that matters. I guess not. :p

This little island here, to be precise.

Thanks for the responses so far

Probably enough of a sample to give a some idea of where we are all at, though still three days to respond. The world has not been covered yet!

North America is still accounts for the majority, though now a shade below the two thirds mark. Europe and thereabouts account for nearly half of the rest, with a handful of from the Antipodes, and scattered others.

Poll closed now. Not a big sample, but probably reasonably representative of MacRumors membership. the ratios have not changed much since the first couple of days.

About 60% North American, with nearly half the rest from Europe or thereabouts, nearly a quarter from Australasia, and the remainder scattered around the world.

It is not really surprising that there was no response from Oceania and polar regions. Internet services to those remote parts are relatively limited.

It is surprising that there was no response from East Asia. Along with South East Asia, there are some highly connected countries in the region. Perhaps language is a limitation, or maybe the tone of the forum is too US centric for their taste. Possibly the same reasons for the lack of response from the Middle East and the South Asian sub-continent.
