I wondered the same thing! I think it may be due to inconsistent adherence around the edges, so the painted glass covers persistent bubbles, etc. I will ask them

Is what I'm hearing about the Cinder essentially being a re-branded Chinese screen protector, true?
I dont believe it. Should Read Corning Gorilla Glass. I dont think Gorilla Glass is categorized as Tempered.

However, it's interesting that virtually all of these 3D edge-to-edge protectors came out at same time and all from China. They may be different, but they may not be. We'll see I suppose.
I'd almost trust a less-known brand at this point though, as Rupert has seemingly put all of their $ into branding and has quickly made themselves known for making promises they can't keep. YMMV.
As campaigns go Cupert has done better than most others. I suspect they started the ball and as often happens many others jump in. Those backers that have Cinder have been happy. Mine is late because my Indigogo account did not have my name just my address. Cant figure that out, but its not their fault.
There are plenty of glass protectors out of china and the ones I have seen vary widely.
I do hope the one you get is good. And that it works with your case.

China is notorious for copy cats. Quality is sometimes the same, often not. Apple is a prime example. I will say I am enjoying my black Milanes Loop. Not exactly the same. Thinner and scratches, but looks nice. Just ordered blue and coffee on Ebay. From China.
As soon as a good product comes out, very soon after "identical" products can be found in China. Maybe it is because they are manufactured there?
I have a good Email relationship with the company that makes Cinder (just by sending them a friendly Email and asking questions - they kindly responded). They are the original and have assured me that what you are seeing in China are cheap knockoffs. NOT the same product. Buyer beware, I would say. If is doesn't cost much, no harm in checking them out. Let us know how they look.

You might be right. But no company would ever admit that you can get their product cheaper somewhere elese.
Some major brands make food products and sell the exact same content under a different name in discount super markets. Would they admit it? Never.

Just received the white cinder for iPhone 6/s. Ordered from Amazon on the 23rd. I currently don't have the new phone to test it out but does anyone have this product try it on with a shumuri extra slim or caudabe veil xt case?

Well I should not be. Ordered Early May. Regardless of my name being missing, they should have had one for me from the early production.
It is not about that. Everyone who did not enter all the details correctly or where the system messed it up (your case) is in batch 3. And everyone in batch 3 has (to my knowledge) no shipping/tracking number yet. Did you receive a tracking number via email or not?

I have a white cinder on my 6s+ and the fitting between the ambient sensor and home button is off-ish.
I was trying to put it on yesterday and when the home button was centered, the hole for the ambient sensor was off, and vice versa.
I decided to deal with it and have a more centered home button, but was curious if anyone else had this issue?
For a quality glass protector, I expect better than this.
