Guys, put down the pitchforks!

I know they could have handled the customer service better, but they have an excellent product. Aside from IMOS, they are the only real curved full screen cover, and it is made out of Gorilla Glass AND is thinner than IMOS. They essentially have a one of a kind product. That isn't an excuse, but you will not find the same product elsewhere. Yet.

I received mine, as have others. They are shipping. Most CF programs ship in order of payments.

Every time I have emailed them, they have responded. Maybe a little kindness?

I am pretty tolerant of crowdfunding projects. I wasn't at the beginning and was much like you guys, but we have no control over the production and sometimes the seller doesn't either.

Just my 2 cents.

(Getting off of soapbox and shields are now up)
Well, it's not one of a kind. Their product is already available from other companies. Same specs. If you read the thread you know where to find them. A little kindness? We don't know if they sent them or not as tracking is not working. (But they already sent it 3 times ;) ) I have - even within the last month/week/days - ordered from China and got China Post tracking numbers. SURPRISE: They all work, cause they have been sent.

While backers are waiting forever with nothing in their hands, everybody else can order it from amazon.

And don't forget about the people who don't even have a tracking number yet.

The problem is they've been caught outright lying numerous times, been dishonest as hell, and and accepted zero responsibility for a single iota of anything this entire joke of a process.

Does anyone that has gotten a Cinder checked its thickness via a caliper? It seems like there are a lot of screen protectors that have surfaced recently that have similar designs to the Cinder, but they all seem to list different thicknesses. One from aliexpress earlier says its .19mm, but lists a hardness of "over 4h" while the ones on amazon list range from .3 to .4 but all list a hardness of 9h.

I must say, even though I have received my 2 Cinders earlier this week, I was pretty pissed to see "knockoffs" on Amazon for half the price.

HOWEVER, as pointed out by Pocketdoc, Cinder IS produced with Corning Gorilla glass and no where in the "knockoff" descriptions does it say anywhere they are made with gorilla. Only "tempered glass". This is probably where the difference lies. Also, how good the adhesive is could be another issue.

No way am I making excuses for this company but Cinder really is that well made and the best looking and feeling protector I have ever seen. After applying them with no issues, they are definitely worth every cent I paid. Just hope the rest of you waiting will see for yourself sometime soon!

Check the aliexpress link. It's as well Corning.

As I said I took a flyer on another screen protector while I waited for cinder. I purchased a white and a black ice max 3d screen protector from Amazon. Well they have all arrived, including the cinder and I cannot tell the difference between the them. I placed the white screen on my wife's 6 and it looks exactly like the reviews I've seen of cinder, feels great and I absolutely love it. I have a black ice max 3d and a black cinder and I literally cannot tell the difference between them outside of the packaging. I'll be installing those when my 6s arrives. Unfortunately they are no longer on Amazon but they are on aliexpress. Longer ship time but I'm done with cinder.

How long did it take to ship when you ordered from AliExpress? I found the same one on ebay for a few bucks more too.

The Kickstarter guys for the K11 bumper just sent out an update saying the K11 does not work the Cinder :(

Could it be (and I am just totally speculating as I am no patent attorney) that these are listing the thickness, whether true or not, different from Cinder to avoid any possible patent infringement? By changing the thickness couldnt they can say it is a totally different item?

Or maybe Cupert "sold out" to further their profits and sold their manufactoring methods? Which I doubt because these other companies I'm sure would rather steal them then pay. Who knows...

Actually, now that I had time and looked more closely at the aliexpress link, unless I am missing something, no where at all does it claim it is gorilla glass.

All that is mentioned, pretty slick mind you, is one little caption thats states it is derived from new Corning technology. Well of cause it is. I believe they are referring to the curved feature, NOT the actual glass. This is what they want you to think.

Can you see one place at all where it actually states Corning Gorilla Glass other than that misleading caption?
Am I missing something?

I believe this would be a huge selling point. Why not even mention it on the packaging??

Unless it is stolen technology that they are not allowed to sell. Too bad there isnt a real test to tell if gorilla.

Definitely spending too much time thinking about this...

there's stock @ aliexpress. i just ordered. hopefully it's the same as the overpriced Cinder.

Yea, I only mentioned it because depending on where you live, the one from Amazon could arrive quicker than one from Aliexpress. Estimated delivery time to the US from Aliexpress is 15-20 days. I'd rather buy from Amazon even though they won't have stock til next week because I get free 2-day shipping and estimated delivery is Oct 7 (12 days).

ah ya u r right. Amazon doesn't ship directly to my country so i'm only left with aliexpress.

Installed it today. Used the shower steam trick and I managed to align it perfectly the first time. Zero dust.

There was a bunch of haze spots all around the corners and I thought I messed up the adhesive when using the steam trick. Left the phone sitting in the sun and then just pressed the haze out. Screen is 100% dust and haze free.

Absolutely loving it so far. By far the best glass protector. Even works with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid, which I thought it wouldn't. Screen feels smoother than the stock coating.

Will have a photo review up tomorrow. Am very pleased so far.

WOOP WOOP! My Cinder has shipped from Amazon (by Amazon themselves), estimated delivery date Tue 29th Sept.

Like i said there ARE alternative solutions. Like using companies such as shipito or many others.
I'm not interested in the international shipping since I live in the states. I just don't get why they were avoiding us when the items first got

when did you order? and what model?

Ordered on 23rd Sept (first batch), iphone 6, white. Chose free Supersaver delivery on Amazon instead of paid faster delivery. Original delivery estimate was 30 Sept-3 Oct so getting it a day earlier. I Love you Amazon :)

Okay.....but did anyone stop and think that there are actual humans living outside of the US..........

I stand corrected. I do apologize. I thought they were the only one aside from IMOS to achieve true curved glass coverage.

I did ask them to come here and respond.
