Where is the White Sox fever?

ok, i'll concede that the 'national' interest isn't nearly the same as it was last year. but last year was a 'lets all root for the red sox because it's a popular thing to do' year.

there were PINK red sox hats for crying out loud.
 
I'm very happy about the White Sox. Go White Sox! This seems to be there year. Don't want the Astros to win.

And plus, if I move to Chicago I have to support my South Side team. What Southie would support those North Side bums?:D :eek:

I mean really live up on the North Side? LOL!

Hey- you can still be a Northsider and love the Sox! I am! Yes- I got crap for defecting at the beginning of the season, but I don't care! We have to support both our teams.
 
hate red sox, hate yankees, hate braves. THis was a good year. Except, once the first round was over I had no one to root against so I stopped watching. Actually i was never watching but I was at least reading the box scores.

Sometimes you don't even have to live in St. Louis to have ChiSox fever. I'm already proud of them for what they did for the BoSox this year....I figure if their is any justice to be had, the Baseball Gods shall continue to rain vengeance on those who interfere with the Red Birds.

I would have been much more interested in the post-season had the Indians managed to finish off their incredible comeback and knock the White Sox out of the playoffs.

Somehow, the Sox nearly collapsing, then somehow recovering just in time isn't as inspiring a story.
 
the fact that they've had an amazing season with a new manager and young players is an inspiring story...

some of you people are hard to please!:p :D

Maybe you should watch the Series not just for the teams playing, but for the way each are playing. Tonight's game is a good example. The Astros dominated early on, but the Sox were able to adjust to the pitching.

I'll admit that I am for the Sox in the series; but I did get excited over a play or two that the Astros were able to deliver (sorry Lee).
 
Man, anyone that thought the Series would be boring is so wrong right. Tied in the 10th! More than a few bleary eyes in the morning - mine included!
 
When I was a kid in Chicago we got White Sox tickets from the school for good grades. It was a public school near the stadium- they were really bad seats. But I gotta admit I'm a really bad fan. They haven't won a penant since 1917 ? Unbelievble.
 
Who would have thought an inning 11? Too bad my boss knows that I am a new Sox fan.. so matter what I will have to be in at work at 10AM East Coast time. :eek:
