Hey Guys,
I had an account before but I had to make a new one as im a dumbo and I don't remember my login!

Anyways this isn't a for sale ad, just a quick question and seeking advice.

I have:

Late 2013 Macbook Pro Retina
2.4GHZ 128GB i5 13INCH 4GB

Battery Cycle Count of 85

The condition is Excellent as in, no huge scratches and the screen is free of cracks and dead pixels, no body dents or anything.

Where should I sell my macbook and for how much?

Like I truly have no idea.... i've tried offerup but i keep getting offers like $250 dollars and im like ugh no.....

Please Help

It's like eBay in the sense that you are selling it online. Other Swappa users purchase whatever you are selling. The biggest annoyance is you'll get some pretty low ball offers but you can just ignore those.

Dang, sounds like the same thing im already going thru :(

Are you sure it has 4gb? I have the same model but with 256gb and 16gb RAM. Options were either 8gb or 16gb as an upgrade from what I remember.

EDIT - Never mind my mistake, the 128gb model was offered with 4gb RAM

I've used Facebook as well - especially if you have any access to student groups or anything like that - I sold my 2011 MBP on there and did pretty decently... plus when you get offers you have a better picture of who they actually are

For all places, such as apps like Letgo, Offerup, and Craigslist/Facebook, be careful of Venmo scams.

The way it works if you're not aware is someone will usually ask if you take Venmo as the first question. If you agree, they will say we can meet today, and Venmo you on the spot, where it looks like you have the funds in your account, and you hand over your device.

But what happens is they either don't have the funds to back it up in their actual bank account, or they clear out their bank account after the Venmo is initiated, and the next day or so Venmo claws back the funds, and the scammer has your device and is in the wind.

There are various PayPal scams too, but I encountered Venmo most frequently when I sold my MacBook Pro recently, about 80% Venmo scams, 15% lowballs, 5% real buyers.
