Man, I miss having my jailbroken iPhone 3G. I used to have messaging/email/phone/safari/iPod all in the dock. Bugs me to no end with my 3GS and no messaging in the dock. Pah!

I know. I miss my pretty 5-icon dock. tap tap tap tap....

Messages, Phone, Safari, iPod. I've thought about switching Mail and iPod several times, but I don't really use Mail all that much.

Phone - Instapaper Pro - Ipod - Messages.

I'm surprised at how little I actually use the Safari App. I am connected to the internet a lot, but almost always from within an Application. I use NetNewsWire to download all of my RSS feeds. If I find a lengthy article, I will open it up in safari, but only long enough to add it to Instapaper (NNW should hopefully have Instapaper integration soon, eliminating that step). I prefer Instapaper for reading articles for a few reasons.
1) It's text only. Sometimes this is bad, but for editorials, I don't need pictures.
2) It downloads the text to the phone and can be used without a connection to the internet.
3) It's faster than Safari. Again, no pictures, only text.
4) The text is wrapped to the screen. That means only up and down scrolling (and tilt-scrolling in Instapaper Pro for the lazy), and no side to side scrolling (purposefully or accidentally).
Also, I use Twitteriffic Premium for updating twitter.

And for some odd reason, I can't make myself fill up the first screen. I only have 11 apps on page 1. Page 2 has 15 apps and page 3 has 11 apps as well. Though I do keep a pretty clean computer desktop, so that has probably carried over. If the iPhone had a springboard like the G1 (or maybe even like the BB), it would be heaven. Search to the left, main apps centered, often-used but not main apps to the right, and all other apps in in a pull out drawer. And I want to be able to hide apps without Jailbreaking.

Phone, Messages, Safari, iPod.

Or: Phone, Mail, Messages, Safari, iPod when jailbroken :)

is there anybody here that keeps less than 4 apps in there dock ?

A friend of mine just has phone, messages, and iPod in her dock. Idk why though :p

mine go...
Phone - Mail - Messages - Camera

I like having the camera in the dock because its always there and doesn't monopolize my home button double-tap. Also its close to where the actual shutter button is in the camera app so i can open and shoot with one hand on the fly. It works well.

Am I the only one who took Phone out of the dock?

You don't need it there- you can set your 'double-tap Home button' function to open Favorites, and voila, you're in the Phone app.

My four:

---Calendar---Mail---Safari---iPod---

I have 5. :D

Phone, SMS, Mail, Safari.

Used to have the Ipod down there, but that's easy enough to get to that with the double-click on the home button.
