Keep away from AVG
As a IT professional more experienced in Microsoft product's, I would recommend everyone stay away from AVG. I'm talking about my own experience with clients.
If you using Windows 7 I recommend Microsoft Essentials and you can run a little tool once a month called ComboFix.
If you want to purchase a Anti V then I can only recommend Kaspersky.
The security in Win7 is much higher than it used to be and it won't be long until Microsoft Essentials will be part of the OS, making 3rd party AntiV products history.
I say Common Sense + Microsoft Essentials and keep away from AVG.
