Do you think silver is more elegant / prestigious / prominent than black ss?
if You need to compare between those two.

I think both have their merits. I was getting overly concerned about the ML with DLC having the potential to scratch the watch face. I also found it significantly easier to see the side button on the watch. Should I eventually get the link bracelet, the silver was readily available. I could not locate the black.

There were times I loved the SB, and there were times I felt it looked like a tracking device and not a watch. The silver looks more like a traditional watch. I felt the silver ML would more easily show when in needed to be cleaned.

I don’t have other bands as yet and I don’t see myself developing a “band collection”, but the silver offers more flexibility in that regard.

B&H Photo it’s highly reputable. They have great customer service, fast shipping, and they will make the situation right if you have any issues with the product, assuming you’re within your return period.

Great! My silver SS is on the way :)

I have a gold s4. Do not baby it. looks pristine.

Didn't plan on buying a gold. But, the SS had a back order. Got the gold at BB.

Looks great with a black band, watch face and gold letters, symbols.

Glad I got it---
THANKS!

In my opinion nothing beats the SBSS. Black goes with everything so any band can work as long as the connector matches the Space Black or it is a different uniform color all the way around.

Also, since the face of the watch is black when turned off and is an OLED display, with the SB, it’s difficult to tell where the screen ends and the body of the watch begins, especially from a distance. Makes it look much cleaner.

Not to mention the DLC.

At first I ordered the black, but I canceled it very quickly. I realized that I preferred a more prominent and prestigious watch than all black with a generic look. In my personal opinion, the black color is cleaner as you say, but in terms of matching straps and elegance silver wins.

The thing is with a face that’s all black to begin with, the “elegance” factor is thrown out the window.

I switched back to SB.

The B&H deal is awesome but found out too late about it. The SBSS series 3 is on sale for around $350 now. I recently bought the aluminum S3 for $229 and the aluminum S3 let would have been $100 more. So that deal would have been a big saving.
I live in Hawaii so I would need to pay another $30 in shipping and I work in the freezer (in which it's a constant -20) so I would need to get Apple care for it, which is another $50. Overall I think I would have bite the bullet and get the SBSS version.

You can still ask them for this deal. Go into their website and write them in chat.

Thanks ron for the info, but I don't want to go through all the hassle with having to ship back my watch I just bought on Amazon and wait for the SSSB model and having to call Apple to change my Apple care.

No need to be dismissive, anyways, you gave bad advice (It happens), I simply made a better suggestion and told you that paste is a generally a bad idea, which in fact, it is. A cape cod cloth does not use _any_ type paste like substance that is thick, it’s merely an oily substance residue that can be wiped away, and it does not leave any paste residue behind, which indicates to me, you likely don’t have experience with these cloths for posting something inaccurate.

For the record, also a poor assumption on your behalf, because I have used Cape Cod cloths _many_ times and suggested them over any paste substances that you did. Again, paste polishing is not smart to use for the Apple Watch, simply because it can clog the ports or become lodged in between the casing and the display.

But thanks for the discussion.

Hence the pictures:

Another happy Silver owner and Cape Code cloth user. Zero issues. Used one on my S0 before I sold it and it looked new. Used one on my S2 regularly and sold it for a decent price as it looked new. Have used one on my S4 every month or so and still looks brand new. It says on the pack that you can reinvigorate the cloth with a little oil.

So, Silver SS for 3 generations, and a "boring" Silver XS Max. I don't have to worry about band selection and having to buy ropey 3rd-party colour-matched lugs for my expensive watch. Ho hum

EDIT: And I can vouch for the paste being evil. I bought some "Mother's" paste and used that early on with my S2 (should have stuck with Cape Cod) and it wasn't long before I had to get an AC+ replacement for a duff microphone....

I originally purchased Mothers paste years back before I learned of the Cape Cod cloth, and I realized quickly this was a horrible idea to use, being that it can easily lodge it self into the crevices of the watch and between the display/casing. The only solution I can honestly recommend is the Cape Cod cloth, being it’s the easiest solution and the most proactive in removing minor scratches and scuffs. I never hesitate to recommend it to anyone over any other method.

I've been considering an Apple Watch 4 for some time and finally pulled the trigger on the gold stainless steel last night.

I was quite surprised by my choice as my favorite model has always been the space grey aluminum. When I spent more time with the gold stainless steel at the Apple Store, I was pretty much sold. I think they got the color just right. While trying on different straps, I paired it with a black sport band and thought the combination was killer.

This is my 4th Apple Watch so I know by now that I prefer the sport bands and don't really change the strap once I find a color I like. My last two Apple Watches were the space gray aluminum models (one which I gave away) so I thought something different would be fun. My first gen Apple Watch was the regular stainless steel but it wasn't really for me.

I'm loving the gold stainless steel with black sport band combo.

Just got the stainless steel s3 with the Milanese band, but don't really like the band. How much should I sell it for?

Was it a series 3 of 4? and if a series 3, was it discounted when you purchased it?

It's for the series 3 42mm, but it should fit the 44mm as stated by Apple.
Item was brand new in box when I bought it. I did not wear it because already bought a sports loop.

the current ML sells for $149. I would ask $75. The design of the ML changed from S3 to S4. Make sure potential buyers understand how.

Thanks, as of an hour ago, I posted it on Craigslist for $125obo. No offers yet

In my opinion, you’re wasting your time with craigslist. It’s full of people that want to either completely offer you nowhere near what you’re asking or those who will try to scam/fraud you.

If you have Facebook, (Which I don’t) Others have commented they have like a ‘local selling community’ tab, where others have had far more success selling there. Otherwise I have heard good things about an application called ‘Letgo.’

Silver twice now. The gold looks nice but I thought it wouldn't match all my my bands. The black doesn't stand apart from the aluminium enough for me.
