Which Apple Watch will you be buying?

As much as I'd love to have the gold Apple Watch Edition, if I do purchase one it'll be sport or maybe the regular only because of pricing.

I'll get the stainless steel 42mm with the link bracelet in space black most likely as long as the price is reasonable. Otherwise I'll get the Sport.

Interesting how the called the watch "Space Black" instead of gray.

You need a poll choice for Gen 2/Gen 3. I personally think that like the original iPhone, iPad, iPod, that the iWatch, especially because of its sensor integration which we have already seen comments saying so many more are right around the corner, that the Apple Watch is a product to see what does it look like for the 2nd or 3rd release. What sensors does it add, and does it get a bit thinner and prettier. In a phone or iPad, both thinness and prettiness are not as crucial, but for the watch they could be monumental steps. I certainly think it is already attractive and the bands are well designed, but I think the 2nd or 3rd generations will be opportunities for significant improvement.

I also know once they are released it will be difficult to release the urge just as it was with the iPhone and iPad, especially as a gadget guy. But if I can hold out, I think a 2016 Apple Watch will be where it's at.

Im gonna go with the standard apple watch, probably the smaller version.

Something about the shiny stainless looks more impressive than the aluminum. The gold is just going to be out of my price range.

As for the band, either the infinity link or stainless link ring.

Since it going to be significantly more $$$ it should be more impressive.;) You also get a Sapphire crystal and a ceramic back.

I think it will be more than that, especially with all stainless steel bracelet.

Yeah , you're right :( . It's not expensive , but when I think about it , I can upgrade from the iPhone 5s to the 6 for less than $500. Do you think the stainless steel bracelet will work on the sport watch?

Hard to picture but it seems like faux pas however if you like it then go for it.

I don't really like it but if I can save hundreds of dollars , then I'll go for it :D. Actually the matte finish of the aluminium watch looks really nice with the link bracelet , but of course the stainless steel looks better. But what is the back of the sport made from??

Standard mainly down to price as I see the Watch being very expensive. I'd like the Edition to match my gold 5s but it's not a big deal as my 5s has a case and the Watch would be on my wrist so it's not a big deal for me.

I think the apple watch is so pretty. I will either get the watch or the sport. BTW, what is the main difference between the sport and the regular? Is it just the strap?

The Sport is aluminum with a glass crystal. The standard has a stainless steel case with ceramic back, and sapphire crystal, and with better band options so it will likely be several hundred dollars more.

So the Sports watch can only be used with the Sports band? My favorite bands are the Link and the Milanese Loop.

I see. I wonder if one could purchase the Sport watch, but with the Link or Milanese Loop, to get it at a cheaper price than the regular Watch edition?

You buy the Sport and it COMES with a Sport band. You can then buy all the Apple offered bands (sold separately) you want and probably 100s of 3ed party bands to boot.

Ah ok, thanks. I just need to find out the price, so I can decide what I will or will not be purchasing in the next few months. If the regular watch edition is $400 or less, I'll be getting it, if much higher, it's a no go for me.

If by 'regular' you mean Watch, then not a chance, It's likely that the 42mm Sport will be $400 to $450 ($350 will be for the 38mm). Apple should have named the Watch Premium (or something) because it's not regular. Most estimates peg the Watch in the $500-$1000 starting range. So $750 would be a good guess. Also this would probably be for a 38mm Watch with a Sport band. So if you want a 42mm with a Milanese Loop it could easily be in the $750-$1500 range.

Apple seems to be putting a lot into the bands and the ones like Milanese Loop will probably be >$100 and maybe a good bit more.

I really hope the basic Apple Watch is around the £200 to £300 mark. In fact I'd settle for at maximum £400 for the basic. That'd be a pretty good price point for me and I'd get on release day if I could.

I really want one of the leather bands, they look more comfortable.

It's Sport and not Basic. Since the Sport starts at $350 in the US it certainly won't be $320 in GB, especially with 20% VAT added. That would be like Apple selling the Sport for about $270.:eek:

If I get one, it will be the Sport model with a nicer band for every day wearing, while using the sports band while working out.
