Safari has an absolute crap-ton of issues, but I still prefer it after trying all the other new-comers in the browser arena. I found that I'm willing to put up with the numerous websites that for whatever reason don't work well (or at all) with Safari in order to have a clean, simple browser that isn't overloaded with AI features, built-in doo-dads for "shopping", cluttered interface, and an almost overwhelming pile of features that I don't need—particularly if those features show themselves in the always visible GUI.
I also like that Safari isn't going anywhere. There's absolutely no chance it gets sold-off to someone else, suddenly starts charging a subscription fee to use, or requires a separate account just to use. I can't say that for ANY other browser (other than perhaps Google Chrome).
