Under MAC OS, Safari with Duck Duck Go and Perplexity (I pay for the Pro version). Does everything I need. Under Windows, Firefox with Duck Duck Go and Perplexity Pro.

Firefox and DDG. I've always used Firefox, don't see a need to switch to Safari after starting with Apple devices a year ago.

Firefox on desktop, Safari on mobile. I had also used Brave for built-in adblock but it kinda slow and hard to customize on mobile, so I didn’t bother installing it on Mac because Firefox works good with Adblock.

After using Firefox for a while on Mac opening Safari feels like accidentally opening Internet Explorer on Windows XP in the old days🤣

I’ve been using Firefox again for about two years now. I tried it several times in the early years, but it was too rough around the edges. It still stutters with some websites, but it’s improving all the time. I like it better than Safari because it’s less cluttered and has more visual appeal to me. 🔥

Firefox, but last few updates all come with 'AI' features plastered on as default, and it's about time they started publishing all the about:config commands to spare me searching random forums for days on end in order to fix stuff (eg context menu).

I don't want to have to deal with adblock extensions. I just install Brave, disable a few features I don't care about, and enjoy the web without all the crap. The only thing I really miss is Safari's tab overview.

Chrome everywhere except for Duck browser on Android. I do not use browser auto fill anywhere (Bitwarden is my password manager).

Also use a few G apps (Contacts, Keep, etc. across Android, Chromebook and Mac's) along with Google Advanced Protection Program security.

I’d been using Firefox on my M1 Air, but noticed very high resource usage and battery drain (even when asleep! 😯). I was losing 20-25% overnight…

So now I’m trying Brave. After you strip away all the AI, upselling and other clutter, it’s very impressive. I’ve had to make no compromises in features and function.

Plus as a developer it allows me to prioritize Chromium-based browsers again 👍🏻.

Still using Firefox on my desktop because it’s awesome.

I would like to say that I use Safari but it breaks too many web sites and is quite slow in general. I do use it for a lot things and like it's integration with iCloud etc. Right now I'm using Microsoft Edge with several setting changes and extentions that were suggested on a TWIT YouTube segment. I can't rememer who it was. Chromium browsers just handle the web better and are very fast. I have Firefox also but really don't use it much.

My 2010 Mac mini cannot be upgraded further than High Sierra.
This means I'm better off using Chrome 116 (2023) than Safari 13.1.2 (2020).
I still find it strange that Google was able to support my computer for three years longer than Apple themselves.

I did install Firefox 115.29.0esr (2025-10-14) a few days ago, thinking about switching to Firefox permanently since it's at least up-to-date for security.

I've been using Firefox as my primary browser for over 16 years. I have noticed that it uses quite a bit of resources, so I usually quit Firefox when I'm finished with a browsing session. My M3 Pro MBP can go a weekend without needing a charge.

Predominantly Safari but also Brave because it has some extensions that are not available for Safari.
