Happy they went darker black on the TW this year. Silicone seems darker to me as well. Have both the TW and silicone on hand.

The dimensions of the plateau are slightly different, so cases that cover the plateau are not likely to be interchangeable.
It’s looking like most open plateau cases will fit, but not all will fit perfectly. The Pitaka Edge, for example, fits but there’s a small gap at the plateau that makes a sound when you press on that area. Cases made from more flexible materials are likely to be more forgiving.

Extreme skins have the 18 pro max skins up too now so just ordered some matte plated skins.
Excellent, so it fits perfectly. Can you please confirm if:
1) Volume buttons, lock button and action button all work correctly
2) MagSafe charging still works all good (ie position of the magnets haven’t changed)
3) Camera Control still works with swipe functions (reports are Apple nerfed 18P Camera Control to remove swipe sensitivity and haptics)
If the answer is yes to all of the above questions, Apple should either really explain why they don’t list the 17 Pro as compatible with the new cases or update their website.
Never the less, as someone keeping the 17 Pro, and having seen some new colours I like as well as already liking the clear case a lot more, I will be a lot happier now knowing I got another year of first party cases to choose from!

Techwoven and Apple clear cases originally said they would be delivered yesterday, but it got pushed to today and are out for delivery now. That’s fine, Apple originally wanted to charge my $9 to get it express delivered today instead of Monday and I said no. Turns out it didn’t make a difference lol.
The mnml? Very tempted. Obviously heavily inspired by the Caudabe Sheath, but I prefer the cleaner look of dbrand's effort. I just hope even with a screen protector it provides a lip/clearance around the screen like Caudabe's does. I'm probably going to order one though.

This from Supcase is interesting though I'm not sure would work well. Seems the back panel is deep to protect the top when folded. Looks to me that it may not feel great in use.

If the case has something that goes over the camera plateau then will that fit 18 pro and vice versa?

I’m pretty sure 17pro will fit in a 18pro case but 18pro won’t fit into a 17pro case.

I agree. And a 17 in an 18 case may have a small gap (a little over 0.5mm) which may or may not be an issue. This is probably going to be something we’ll get clarity on over time on a case by case basis.

I've always found that to be the case with black phones. It's why I usually opt for white.

I bought an 18PM Pitaka and it fits fine on my 17PM. They include little foam stickers now to help with fitment, but I am not sure they are necessary. I used them just because the 17PM plateau is thinner so I thought why not. I will try to get some pics later.
