Was the broken box seal from JB?
I had a look at it in store yesterday. It's definitely black but has a hint of really dark navy in it under certain lighting.

Upgrade through my Carrier in UK. They acknowledged the mistake and offered next day door to door new retail box replacement.

Apple needs to go back to wrapping the whole box, or find a better way than these rubbish seals.
I reckon some scumbag workers are intentionally breaking the seals, always idiots out there unfortunately.

Thanks for that. I saw that as well and I’m deciding between this and the Apple clear case.
No problem and I know a lot of people say to stay away from the Apple clear case since it's a lot more slippery than other clear cases and there is no protection at the bottom (it's open) compared to other clear cases.
I think the Spigen Ultra Hybrid (Clear case) is the best looking clear case that has the MagSafe rings that's comparable to the Apple clear case. I've seen other similar to Speck or Mous Infinity.
How is the protection of the Apple Leather v. Silicone? Leaning Silicone either Abyss Blue or Blue Jay.
A few random photos of current set up. The dark Cherry is alright. I haven’t tested the silicone black yet. Currently testing my naked edge case .

Unfortunately the Aneu line appear to be sold only by Apple at this point. Can’t even get them on the Otterbox site. Anyone with the Aneu talk about how thick it is? Before I drop that kind of cash I need to make sure it offers enough protection.

Magnets worked very well.
Other issue that my old OCD self is struggling with- the metal frame of the phone shows only in the corners. 😡
luckily- have the smartish MagSafe grip coming today as pelican is likely going back.
