I've been very happy with cheapo TPU cases and also Magpul cases. It's likely what I'll end up with again. I've also got a source through work for 40% of Lifeproof cases and will likely give them a roll, can easily sell for no loss if I don't like it. I have a high risk job and have been fortunate to only need on replacement so far.

Apple product red leather and red silicone

I really considered this.

I have Product Red (TM) for my wife's iPad rMini. However it looks dirty already, after 10 months. Yeah, I got a soft launch Mini. That was sneaky, and I was half expecting the 6 Plus would end up being a soft launch, after the iPhone 6.

I couldn't be happier, it wasn't.

With that said. I want the dark blue leather case, but since it would be delivered the following week, 9/22+, I don't dare go without something. I am holding off on Apples case. Next month I am going to purchase the case, along with Airport Extreme.

iPhone 6 Plus Case, Spigen® [METALLIZED BUTTONS] iPhone 6 Plus (5.5) Protective [Neo Hybrid Series] [Gunmetal] Bumper Case Slim Fit Dual Protection Cover for iPhone 6 Plus (5.5) (2014) - Gunmetal (SGP11064)

Temporarily, I ordered a Spigen Hybrid bumper, due this Tuesday. I either want a full traditional bumper, or a full backed case. I don't like transparent backs, or Spigen's bumper with their name-tag on the back.

My experience is that full backed cases tend to collect dirt, which scratch the phone. I have been going bumper only since the iPhone 4. When the 5 series came out, I only looked for bumper cases. Also Apple didn't make a case for the 5. This time around though I am pleased they came out with the leather series, for the 6/6+.

Not sure if this is the "boutique" leather wallet/case that some of you are hinting at (sorry if it is), but I buy from this guy year after year:

http://pact.cm/products/phone-wallet

They used to be named TUCH –kinda died out a year or two ago– and then came back as PACT this summer. Everything is handmade, no glue/adhesives/stitching, and their products are made from one piece of natural leather.

They're waiting to get actual devices to finalize the fits, but should be shipping them out a few weeks after launch. Trust me though, it's worth the wait.

15th Century iPhone cases, Shakespeare would love. ;-)

Ordered a Sena case several years ago for an iPod Touch, 2nd Gen. I was very disappointed in the fit and finish; sewing was crooked, holes didn't line up with buttons, etc. Do you know if their QC is any better?
oh wow, I've had several cases from them with no issue, i just get sleeves, so no aligning holes so i wouldn't know about those kind of cases they make.

I liked my slim armor on my ip5 but hated how quickly and easily the back of the case scuffed and scratched. Is this fixed now?

I also had that case and it scratched easy...it also blocked my LTE signal. Had to throw it away after figuring that out.

I got this Spigen Cyrstal Clear one for my 6+ from amazon. Delivered today. Seems pretty nice; will hold me over until I get a Tech21 case or something else.
Spigen case

Just ordered this case. How is the fit and finish?

I think I'm gonna get the crystal work done on just the logo, and a 24k plating on the phone to protect it...

Corrosion resistance and all that.

I used to own a mophie battery case but now I just have the xl nearby.

Here's a pic of the idea with the iPhone 5, though I don't want the crystal around the edges...

But also going to order the supcase from amazon.

Just now seeing the vaja cases for the first time because of a few mentions here. They look really nice, they are the only case I'm willing to buy at this point, my 6+ and 6 (his and hers) already cost me enough so I'm not sure if i want to spend anymore :(
True - they are on the pricey side! For me, they do the front cover exactly how I want on the Top Flip and maintain a classy, non bulky look while giving your phone some meat to grab on to. So it's almost like there isn't another option for me. That and they last forever while still looking great! I mean, in and out of a denim pocket numerous times a day for over 700 days and it looks better than day 1 :) . I know a budget is a budget, but if you can afford it, it's a 1 time purchase that will last you the life of the phone (and definitely longer).

I'm thinking to not order a leather case if you got the PLUS. Having that catch all the time on an already large phone might be a problem.

Not really so. I've been using the Nokia 1520 since March, which is both taller and wider (and heavier) than the 6+. It's also "top heavy" a little, so is unbalanced. But even this hasn't meant it is drop-prone. Unless your fingers have no grip strength whatsoever.

BTW, the one-handed use of phones we've become used to is highly likely to be bad for our finger and thumb joints. The thumb really isn't made to swivel around all over the place so two-handed use of a phone is probably likely to better for our joints in the longer term.
