you are suggesting a mostly insignificant chip delta is going to give someone an almost 70% battery life increase, or are you just throwing forum hyperbole everywhere.

iPad 2 was manufactured using two different Apple A5, with no way to tell which you would get without opening the box.

Here's how it affected gaming battery life:

Almost two hours better battery life.

And,

Geekbench Battery test is designed to measure the battery life of a device when running processor-intensive applications (such as games).

Anyone noticed this in the background? Knew I shouldn't have installed this app, going to restore my phone as new now smh....

I got the same chineese BS in my phone. I deleted the app 3 days ago. Guys, this is a virus!!!!! Restoring now.

Try Battery doctor, go memory and scanning.

DON'T USE THE APP FROM HERE!!!!!

I can't understand why people who paid hundreds for their new phone would balk at paying $2.99 to install System Status and instead potentially expose their phone to malware with a free non Apple approved App.

what are you basing this claim off of besides the fact that you don't know what it says? it could very well be a process from Battery Doctor itself as the developer is asian...

The identifier app is made by a known jailbreak dev and has been checked by a lot of people, the source code is right there on the site.

Doubt it, I never had any issues with Battery Doctor nor did it ever show this unknown background process till I installed the CPU identifier app from here.

Just ran battery doctor on my old iphone 6 from which I restored my 6s , have no Chinese app there. May be I don't know what I'm talking about, may be you are clever and I'm an idiot, BUT I better restore my iPhone.

I got this last night. 4:01 hrs for battery test, 2561 single, 4474, Samsung chip

I ran battery doctor a few times and I don't see it. I used the identifier app.

But really, the source code is open for anyone to view and it's been checked without any claim of malware.

My ip 6 and ip 6s are not jailbroken and never been JB. The only app I downloaded and signed last time , was this app. May be I'm wrong and don't listen to me, but I'm going to restore to stay on a safe side.

Agree, I was really stupid. 2.99 is nothing compare to the problem.

Just checked back-up file from my iPhone with ESET, shows no thread.

Just restored my phone and re-ran Battery Doctor, no more unknown app running in the background so I'm 99.99% sure it came from this unsigned app.

Hey people theres an app in the App Store that allows us to see what chip we have :)
https://appsto.re/us/-AarJ.i

It seems that N66AP (6S Plus) and N71AP (6S) are Samsung chips.

The N66MAP (6S Plus) and N71MAP (6S) are TSMC chips.

I have Samsung 6S :(

Restoring now. I'm also 99 percent sure it is from this app. Checked my ip 6 backup from 09/27, not even a sign of Chinese there.
Thanks for the info.

And I have a potential virus :-( and my info was stolen from T-mo :-( . I'd rather have Samsung :)

What? From the chinese link "virus"?

Do you? It's seems that Samsung chips are hotter with a lot less battery :(

Those of you seeing the "suspicious" Chinese process is Battery Doctor.... did you install the "one tap boost" feature? This requires installing something outside the app store signed with a 3rd party cert. It's not something to do with that is it?

Nope. Are there any other apps that show processes? I'll delete battery doc and that should let us know for sure
