Gold XS Max and Apple Red Leather Case here.. Thinking a bit of Iron Man style will look nice!
The forest green was hard to resist and will be on my list if I can resist the urge to go without a case (unlikely).
Sorry to derail a bit, but does anyone here have experience with Apple cases and edge to edge screen protectors? I'd imagine there's no problem with the regular ones, but I have a feeling that the leather cases come up and kind of come over the edge a little, and that would end up pushing in on the edge to edge screen protector...
I was originally thinking of getting the Midnight Blue or Project Red cases, but have been gun-shy thus far due to the above concern.

the only patina i like is the saddle and not even that much, all other colors look like ***** worn in. Thats why i repeatedly get black year after year
I’ve bought nectarine and lavender grey for my Xs plus in gold, they are the silicone, never tried out a leather one before but if I was to would go saddle brown

I've been getting black cases, silicone, leather cases for years. I have an unopened Incepio I got for Xmas I never used! (eyeroll)
I wanted something different. Midnight Blue was cool - I really like the green. The Apple store website "Availability" is all over the place though with these cases. I see "Available Oct 10" then it changes to "Sept 20", then "Sept 21" I KNOW I saw Apple X cases in Best Buy's this time last year - only a few colors - still the X wasn't coming out until 11/3.
I like to have the protection for my device before I dive into it.

MAYBE the Product Red, that might look slick. The problem with the Apple Cases, if you want to show off that Gold phone, these won't work...it will hide it completely

MAYBE the Product Red, that might look slick. The problem with the Apple Cases, if you want to show off that Gold phone, these won't work...it will hide it completely

I've had the saddle on a couple of phones now and would really recommend it, especially with the silver/gold.
Yeah, I need a change too. I'm also looking at the Saddle Brown for my space gray XS Max. Seems to be a big fave from many on the forum. I realize it gets that worn down look after a while - resembling an old catcher's mitt. I don't know, I kind of like that for some reason.
Think I'm going for the Forest Green, it just looks too nice especially with the gold.

iJustine posted her unboxing video and apparently Apple also sent her a Cape Cod Blue leather case.

She also has a saddle brown along with the Cape Cod Blue, which are the two colors I was trying to decide between. It was nice to see them together. Right now I’m leaning towards the saddle brown but that can easily change, lol!
I don't get it. I COULD, maybe should just order the darn thing and have it delivered Friday at this point. I stopped at Apple yesterday, they "will have them available on Friday" - The site now says "Available Sept 24 (Max)" That's for ALL colors in leather. Only area I see that has them available right now are Apple stores in NYC.
Doesn't make sense.
The date on the site has been moving around from the 20th, 21st, THEN to Oct 10th, back to 20th..now 24th all week.
**EDIT - Some of the stores in the Philly area are now updating to "Available Today"
- ALL leather cases. Thats a good sign.

I checked last night and was able to nab a 512 Max in SG for Friday pick up at my local store. Now the fun begins. I jumped on the caseology amazon deals and got the Legion and Vault for under $4 total. Although, now having apple care, I might go with an apple case. Too many options

The lousy harsh white lighting in my office - and perhaps the color balance on the camera gave it a green - with slight blue hues. When I took it outside, yes its more of THIS green, what BasicGreatGuy posted (I only saw this when I took it out of the box in my office--- these are far better examples).
It’s very hard to capture the actual colour of the forest green.

It really is hard to capture. It looks darker inside, slightly different color compared to outside. If I use a flash on my camera - which I rarely do - it almost looks blue,black.
