iPod touch Which feature do you think will be included in the iPod Touch(5G)

Things I think will be included:
It'd be nice to see the base model bumped up to 16GB. A larger model would be nice for those who need it, but 32GB is perfect for me.
It'd be nice if the front camera was better. I think the rear one is fine, at least for videos.
I wouldn't want a touch sensitive home button. I have always hated those. As for the other features, I have no preference.

- A5
- HD video recording (as it already has it). Don't think it'll be 1080p.

So there would be no upgrade to the 0.7 megapixel camera?
That is PREPOSTEROUS, trust me if anything the camera will be a sure upgrade.
How can there be an improvement to HD video recording if there won't be 1080p and iPod touch already has 720p. I doubt 1080i would even be an option.
I think the touch has reached its limit, it won't be any thinner, A5 and more RAM seems likely if Jobs truely wants the Touch compete with the 3DS and Vita.
The ipod touch 5g will get
- A5
- Upgrade to the camera
- better battery life
- RAM upgrade
Good list, I think all of these features has to be included.
A5 + RAM will make the touch a gaming device and the dreadful camera has to have a decent upgrade.
8,32,64 storage models may be changed. I won't be surprised if the 128 b model comes out but it would strange to offer 4 different variations. 8GB has been the base model for 4 years now, with firmware and other stuff, less than 7GB is usable, it would be interesting to see if 8GB would stay for another year.

Agreed, I can imagine plenty of people accidentally touching the home button when playing a game. Too many people are getting "touch happy" but won't think about the design flaws.
I just said it'd be included as the 4th gen already has it. So in other words I think the rear camera will be the same, at least for video recording.
As for taking photos, there needs to be an improvement.
Your post implied that they will all be new features, A5,more RAM, etc which was why I thought you would think there would be better video recording above 720p.
There is a bigger chance that picture taking ability will be enhanced against video quality but I wouldn't go as far as there will not be any update to the HD recording.
That would mean the iPod Touch would have to get a bit more thicker some how in order to accompany the bigger camera lens. I think there is going to be a camera upgrade, but I wonder how they will accompany a bigger lens in a sleek design.
Even though Apple promoted the touch because of Facetime, I doubt people even use it much. Its upgrade chance is very remote. The rear camera will always be prioritized over the front one; a person can just turn the device to take a better picture with the back camera.

They could find a slimmer camera if they wanted to but I don't think Apple will plan on spending the money on such a device for the Touch. Iphone5 now that's a possibility

First link was what I thought of when I was creating this thread, a 5MP camera included in the touch. Sony could be wrong so this might be the last year that Omnivision is still supplying camera sensors to Apple( specifically the 5MP one). I'm sure the camera upgrade will be Apple's marketing scheme.
They(Steve Jobs) will announce how they were "distraught" by the 0.7mp camera they intentionally put in and by having such a big camera upgrade(5MP possibly), ipod touch 5g is the ultimate device for games,social networking and camera features.
1080p hd recording of prossibly more fps at 720p recording would make it a perfect mobile camera. Apple has to upgrade in some area moderately so that consumers will buy each iteration and this year I am assuming that it will be the camera that gets the biggest upgrade.
BTW over 10,000 views, keep this thread rolling, more views and more replies are always helpful
Agreed, I doubt 99% of iPod Touch users even use more than 64GB.
However 16GB should be one that Apple offers unless Apple thinks it will cut in to their 32GB sales.

I'm actually 50% convinced we won't see any upgrade to the Touch since it looks like the no contract iPhone is pretty certain at least over seas.. The touch may have run it's course but if there is one this Fall I'd actually be interested in buying it. We shall see but I hope for something completely different from the current design.

Upon today's recent rumor that the "next" iPod touch is going to be white - it looks virtually unchanged on the front. So I am guessing that Apple is going to "screw" us over one the new touch 5G. The new features we might/might not see are:
A5 processor
256MB or 512MB RAM
Possibly better camera on rear
16GB standard (8GB isn't practical)
Same size, same resolution display
Same chrome back (I really wish the new touch gets redesigned)
Better battery life

Yeah it should have better battery life, as that's quite poor. I think it would be possible for it to be the cheap iPhone and gain 3G as well as a slightly better camera and more ram and the a5 then again, maybe it won't get 3G, if it doesn't this year or next year then they will surely EOL it.

That is such a high expectation. iPod touch is going to get very minor updates this year.
IPS is not happening.
HD camera is not happening.
All of that 3G/4G are not happening.
It might get A5 processor. Apple will probably drop the base model price from 229 dollars to 199 dollars.
