I choosed 3, but really considered going for 2. Both feel pretty nice, but the 3rd option felt just a little better.

Don't understand why they've been complaining about the new home button in all these reviews. I like it already, and I just got the phone. :p

Can you describe how the home button compares now please? Just for those that are on the pre touch id devices we may not truly know the difference!
I just tried several iPhones 7 and 7 PLUS at the Apple Store and I was truly surprised how good the new home button felt. It really felt like an actual button being pressed AND released.

IMO, the haptic action for the new home button is much better than that given when one 3D Touches an app, et al. It even felt just like a proper release of the button while executing a double- or triple-click of the home button. I was concerned that this wouldn't be the case.

To address the OP, I chose 2, mostly because I like to leave adjustability in both directions. All three weren't significantly different to me, but they were different. I pretty much decided to like 2.

Regarding pre-Touch ID, iPhone 5 and earlier have a different button - concave vs. flat - thus a different feel in the unpressed state. From the 5S to the 6 / PLUS / SE, the feel is nearly identical. For the 7, the feel is similar in the unpressed state, but (obviously) a new experience when pressing the home button.

started with 3. now i use 2. for me the haptic feedback on 3 wasnt every time the same. sometimes i felt a lower Feedback, sometimes a higher... On setting "2" its every time the same

#3 for me, however I wish there was an option for no haptic feedback for times I don't want any vibration

Question but is the button actually separate or part of the front panel. Meaning could water get in between

Mine is on 2. Does anyone know if having 3 impacts the battery? I'm guessing it does but you probably wouldn't even notice a difference.

I started with 2. And have been happy with it. I love the Taptic stuff. My MacBooks have had it since last year and they felt/feel amazing as well. Definitely better than actual buttons in my opinion.

Hey everyone, just got my new iPhone 7. What click setting do y'all have your iPhone 7 set on? I have 3, because it feels closet to what it's replacing (mechanical Home button)
