Hoping to upgrade my work 64gb iPad2 to a 64gb iPad Air pending authorisation by my manager ;) Finding the 2 getting a pretty slow and heavy. Our IT dept have advised against the mini for extended use.

I can't decide on colour though! My original iPad and iPad 2 have been black as I fugure that is best for playing movies etc but I really think with iOS7 white/silver is the way to go. I got the gold 5s and really like it with iOS7.

What colour is everyone else preferring?

White retina ipad mini 16 gb wifi only. It has everything I was wanting. Touch ID is not a make or break for me.

I'll most likely upgrade my iPad 4 32GB LTE to a iPad Air 64 GB WiFi. I got so annoyed the times I was on the go and had to tether to my phone to be able to update/download large apps or update iOS or things like that. Also got really annoyed when some streaming apps would use lower quality while streaming over LTE and so on. If I tether I will be able to do everything as if I was connected to WiFi so I might as well save some money, because I need to tether or be limited in what I can do on the go even with the LTE.

Are we sure about that? I'm still sitting on an AT&T iPad 1 with unlimited data. Will I be able to migrate that to the new iPad Air?

OF course. I've migrated it from my iPad 1 to every other iPad I've owned. Easy as pie. Just sign in with your ID and password on the AT&T config screen, and presto!

I'm gonna get the mini 2 16gb, need to figure out what carrier, 30$ for AT&T seems a little steep even tho I already have them

I'll be buying the rMini 128 gig in black I think. Have a full-sized white iPad 4 atm but I think I want black again. (I originally bought a black mini but the no retina killed it for me and returned it for a 4)

I chatted with apple today and the cases from the first gen mini are compatible with the retina mini.

Huh?

a) Apple didn't make any cases for the Mini

b) Apple can't say what third party cases will\will not fit

c) I guarantee my snap-on shell wouldn't fit even if it was only 0.01mm thicker

d) Funny how when it comes to that stuff the agents are always so quick to make assumptions they have no clue about.

Really not sure now, was set on mini but am wondering if the screen is too small for typing? I'd be buying it primarily for reading, surfing the net and doing work in Pages and Keynote.

So either:

32GB White iPad mini w/ retina
or
32GB White iPad Air

Decisions, decisions...

I'm really disappointed the iPad mini got the same specs as the new iPad air.

I was dead set on the full iPad but now with no TouchID, no upgraded camera, and now the Mini has the same specs?

:(

How is this bad? The mini makes more sense in my book. The only negative is the price of both products. Or at least make 32gig standard.

Baseline iPad Mini Retina in Black. Late November can't come soon enough. Just sold my OG Mini a few days ago and I miss it.

This is only a positive thing.

Air, wifi only, black 64GB (I waffle on the cellular versions slightly but wifi keeps expanding and there have been maybe 2 times in the last 3 years that I wished my iPad had cellular service)

32Gb wifi Air for me. Not fussed about colour tho' preference for slate grey. Depending on availability on the day, may spring for a 64gb....

Space Gray 128GB Verizon Retina Mini. It will be replacing my iPhone 5 and iPad 4 because I am insane.

Undecided between Mini or Air, but whichever I decide on it'll be 16GB and Space Grey. (probably with a red smart cover and iCarbons skin on it :))

Going to fiddle with one of each at the local Best Buy before ordering. Need hands-on first..not sure if the Mini's screen will be too small for me or not, but if not would love to save the $100 for sure.

IPad Air 128GB T-Mobile Space Gray

----------

black 128 gig att lte ipad air

My phones are with ATT but I have to ask, why would you skip the T-Mobile version when it comes with free data? You can always get an ATT sim later.

Which iPad Air or iPad mini are you getting?

Is the Mini and Air identical in spec? (Speed, memory, etc)

I'd planned on picking up a used iPad 4, but iOS 7 is clunkier than I thought it'd be. I want max horsepower.
