getting an Air, but not sure on size or color...leaning towards white/silver 32 gb...not sure if I would be ok with a 16, and I've always had black iPhones and feel like the white would be a nice change...they look sleek

Probably a 64GB White/Silver LTE Air --- though I still am tempted by the rMini.

Wish this was an easier decision.

I'm debating it right now. I have the mini and use it everyday but I like the big screen so I am going back to the air now that is has lost weight. I may end up with a mini too just because I want one.

I'm getting a mini retina as a gift over the holidays. I'm not sure which one I'll get, (probably 16gb) but I can't complain. I'm still using an ipad 1. I'm ready for an upgrade!

iPad Air, Wifi, White (I think), 32 or 64 depending on finances on November 1.

Since I posted this I have ping ponged between almost any and every option. But I have made a few decisions.

iPad Air-I need the screen size.

64GB-I have the money (whew!) for it and need the space.

Wifi-this was tougher. I just didn't want to spend the money for a service I don't know I'll use or not. If I need it I'll hotspot my iphone 5s.

Color-this is where I'm stuck. I can't decide. I love the look of the white ipad but I've only owned black ones. It's crazy that I'm OCDing on this!

I alternate black and white every year. This year is white but I like the slate gray back.

Have iPad Mini and plan on getting retina version when it is released. Also have 3rd gen iPad.

Large iPad too big to carry around. Defeats purpose. When I'm home or at work I have a retina macbook or ugly PC. Mini is great form factor for me when commuting, reading.

My kids use the larger iPad and I take it to the gym to watch something but am not holding it.

This tough decision is certainly a first world problem but if you dont like your choice you can always return within 2 weeks and get the other. Or just get both. For my needs, no real reason to upgrade the retina 3rd gen to the Air. I'll wait until my kids break it. :p

White 64GB Verizon iPad Air. Can't wait.

This is the one I'm planning to get too. But now I'm intrigued by the 200MB free data T-Mobile is offering. I only activate the cellular occasionally, so always having the active connection would be a bonus, if even just for the Find My iPhone feature to be on. It would help justify the added expense of getting the cellular version.

16 GB Space Grey Wifi.

Primarily to be used for Logic Remote app duties, and using it as a tool to quickly capture song ideas in Garageband for iOS along with the Apogee JAM.

That is exactly my situation, my debate is whether I will keep the Mini as well.

I got surprised today that the store near me allowed for pre orders so i didnt get to debate any more, decided on a 64 GB space grey WiFi. I was just in to ask if they had gotten loads in stock or not to try to decide if it was worth going there on friday, so I had to decide quickly.

What store was this?

Model: iPad Air

Color:I'm going space grey to match my 5s. Prefer black screens, had my fill of white with the 4S, iPad 3, and i5

Size: 32GB more than likely, maybe 64GB

Wireless Configuration: AT&T or Wifi- still undecided

:apple::D

ipad mini retina 128gb verizon. Black.

Screen will be much sharper (higher quality) than ipad air. Same internals. More portable. Plus it's cheaper. This isn't a very hard decision.

The ipad Air really brings nothing new to the table experience wise. It's a bit thinner and lighter. But it begs for a case so it's not like it will significantly change how you use it (compared to ipad 4). With a case, it's still bulky and over a lb. Even Anandtech said with a case, you still need to prop this tablet against something. Speed wise, you probably won't see much of a difference from the ipad 4.

On the other hand, the retina Mini will be a very significant upgrade. Instead of struggling to barely run the OS, it will fly. And it will have possibly the best screen available on a tablet. That's the remarkable thing. Going from the crappiest screen seen on a tablet to the best.

Debating between a 64GB or 128GB wifi Air (can't decide which colour) or a some sort of retina mini wifi. I really can't decide - I currently have a 3rd gen 64GB wifi in white, but I want something lighter I can use on my train journey to work to read books and magazines (and to watch films on at home).

My iPad 4, and iPad mini even with its obsolete display are doing just fine. I'll let Apple do their customary profit taking off others money and pass on giving them more of mine. Tablets are OK, but it's my fast, fun and highly useful Retina equipped MBP & a smartphone that matter to me.

I'll wait patiently, enjoy my Note 3 and upcoming Nexus 5, perfect companions to my stellar Nexus 7. Then perhaps in a year or so they'll have caught up to the rest of the Android camp with gorgeous 5" smartphone displays.

If Apple can pull that off I'll give one a try.

I'm either getting a black iPad Air 32gb Wifi OR a White 32gb Mini T-Mobile. I can't decide. But I don't want to spend over 700 for the thing.

I don't know why anyone would buy any of the LTE versions besides Tmobile after seeing their payment plans and free data.
