Belkin Shield Micra.

It was either the Belkin case or the Incase Snap and I just bit the bullet and got the Belkin since it doesn't seem like many people are getting this one. Looks nice from the picture but we'll see.

I already bought the Switcheasy Nude case for my main case, so this will just be a backup. I like cases that actually show off the phone since it is a work of art.

I already bought the bumper from Apple and took it right back the day I got it. The recessed ports on it suck and it gives absolutely no protection to the front or the back of the device. Also hides the design of the phone.

Didn't choose Speck because I bought a Speck Candyshell for iPhone 4 from the AT&T store and their cases are on the big side. Almost makes you feel like you're holding a squared brick. This case had issues with the flash and Speck will replace it free of charge with their new design, but they said it is a few weeks out before they are shipping the newer designed case for the flash problem.

Didn't choose Griffin Reveal Etch because I bought the Griffen Reveal (Clear) from Best Buy Although it was a nice case, I got tired of the rubbery sides catching in my pocket and it is soft rubber so it pulls away from the phone too easily. Didn't test the flash when I had this case but reports are saying it can cause glare as well.
 
Zagg IS issues with PixelSkin HD?

Any known issues with the Pixel Skin HD and Zagg IS? My phone currently has only IS in both front and back, and Pixel Skin HD was top my list to get...thoughts?

I already got the black bumper and love it, so I just end up getting the best of both worlds when I got the PixelSkin HD. I figure you should too esp if your HEART was already set on a white bumper.

And if I don't like the PixelSkin HD because it looks bulky, shades the LED flash, or collects lint easily, I can always try to sell it after Sept 30th anywhere between $10-$20 for the late iPhone 4 adopters on Craigslist. I figure the antenna problems might already be solved after Sept, but late adopters STILL want solid protection for their phone. I figure if a black bumper feels like a rip-off to them if it goes back to selling for $30, a PixelSkin HD is an easier sell at half the cost. Capitalism at its finest. Glad I got the PixelSkin HD. :D

Yes voice of reason i agree with you, now to treat you to a speed boost with some caffeine and a chunky kit kat...i knew there was a part of my brain waiting to be unlocked, i now can make quick decisions with out having to google the hell out of everything :D

Same here. I like the Speck fitted case because you have access to the actual buttons on the phone. I don't care for buttons on buttons. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)

I've never been one to use a case on a phone but I'll give it a try for free.

Just checked out the Pixelskin. What is wrong with you guys! :D
It probably has everything I do not want in a case, going with the Etch.
 
Got a Speck Pixel HD. Wanted the bumper but my headphones probably won't fit through that tiny hole.
 
already ordered Speck PixelSkin HD - Black. looks the most protective case specially since i think it'll improve the grip on my phone which im alsways scared to dropping! :\
 
Had the bumper and returned it before the giveaway.

Liked it enough to keep it, but the fact that it didn't accept any cable connector other than the newer, thinner Apple-branded ones was a deal killer for me. I had Griffin, Belkin, and other DealExtreme knock-offs that just wouldn't fit properly.

I ended up with the Belkin Micra. Supposedly doesn't suffer from the bleeding flash issue since it leaves the area pretty open.
 
I took the Belkin Micra Clear.

I also paid for 3 addtional "Bumpers" from some shop in Hong Kong on eBay for like $2.50 a pop, no tax, no shipping. Black, Clear White and Grey.

But since I've been rolling naked since launch day and the Apple program won't deliver my case for 4-6 weeks, and my eBay purchase coming from China won't be here another 8-15 days, I think I'm going to go out and get me a nice case in the meantime.

I'm not worried about signal issues as my area is all good, but since my girl shattered her phone a few days ago (luckily we got a replacement for free), I want some protection on my phone. Let the hard plastic/silicone rubber take the damage and absorb the energy I say.
 
I grabbed the Belkin Micra Clear as well.

I wanted something minimal that would be easy to slip in and out of my pocket but would also provide some protection and show of the phone as much as possible.

How strong is the LED flash with the case on? Does it get weaker or cast a shade? And what about the volume buttons? Easy to push? Is the case very easy to install? I do expect these cases to be a lint and dust magnet especially with a black color.

I haven't tried the LED flash yet. The buttons are easy to push and it's easy t install. I did see a guy who posted the best cases on youtube...He's a poster on here actually and he said its the best case for photos (it doesn't cast a shadow and it's good for the flash, I just haven't tried it yet).

Same here. Got mine in the mail Monday and love it. I feel a little more secure that I won't end up with a shattered iPhone 4.
 
Am I looking at pictures of the wrong case online or is the Speck Pixelskin HD just about the ugliest case I have ever seen? Am I missing something? What is the attraction?

Made the same mistake, I bet you're looking at the non-HD Pixelskin.

I'll have to look on my home computer then - most links here at work are blocked. The ones I saw in the google images search were fugly +1. I'm not getting one anyway since I already got refunded for my bumper today. I'm not planning on scamming Apple either for a free case in addition to my refund. I was just curious as to why such an ugly case was in such demand!
 
does anyone know if they are putting up any other colors of the bumpers ? i have a feeling that when the black are out they will switch over to the next color.
