I used to have an MBA Rev C. Now I bought a Thinkpad T420s instead of MBA. Why? Because I don't care about OS X, because it's upgradable and because it has USB 3.0 which is actually usable instead of $$$$$$ Thunderbolt. Oh, did I mention it has a docking station? The only complaint is the crappy screen that they managed to stick into a $1200 machine but since I use it as a desktop about 95% of the time it's not nearly as important.

I had a docking station on an old Dell laptop and loved it (and I'd love to have one again). Is there any way to get a docking station for the MBA? (other than the very expensive new Thunderbolt monitor, that is!)

MBA 11" i7/256GB SSD
Why: At home I use it with my 1920x1080 monitor and the APPLE Bluetooth keyboard.
On the road "the smaller the better" - 11" best option for me.
Arni, do you ever feel the 11" is too small when you are home but NOT hooked up to the external monitor?

Logically impenetrable, after all when macrumors is down for maintenace i instantly jump over to my favorite Asus News site....

Bought 3 refurb 11" 2010 MBA's with 1.6/4/64 and swapped the SSD out for 3/ 480 GB OWC SSD's. These are last years models with the NVIDIA graphics. With the OWC SSD's these are some wicked fast lil Laptops:cool:
My wife and i use ours on the road tethered to our iPhones to run our Airport Shuttle business, my Daughter uses Her's at University studying for her Masters, as well as Teaching.
We fell in love with the i Pad, we each have one, and since the form factor worked for us, the 11" MBA was the logical next step;)

Due to the 20% Amazon discount, I paid $1239.99 which is still cheaper than the 128GB I was planning to get.

I think I could easily make do with 128GB but 256GB gives me a ton of breathing room. :D
