Let's get a rough idea of what is popular and what is not.

Ordered my 64 GB space gray Plus.

With how difficult the ordering process was, it could possibly be not what's popular but what's available for delivery on the 19th.

True. Pretty brutal process, as has become all too common with these things. But over time as inventory loosens up, hopefully the poll will get more accurate.

This is the first time I've had this much trouble ordering an iPhone online. Previous years weren't this bad.

Interesting how few are getting the 16gb across the board.

Looks initially like Space Gray is the most popular color, 64 GB is the most popular memory size. No surprise in both cases. What does surprise me is the 6 Plus (5.5") being quite a bit more popular than the 6 (4.7") but I think that's because early adopters tend to be male power users, so from that perspective it makes sense.

Remember when nobody wanted a 5.5" phone? Wasn't too long ago.

What? Like a week ago and for the past 6 months??

It's interesting because a lot of people but not all want the 5.5" iPhone because of the features and not the size. I bet you are going to see the majority of people walking around in a few months with 5.5" phones.

Had Apple kept the phones identical I feel there would be less demand for the larger model.

The other interesting thing at least from what I have seen is that there isn't the same demand for the gold color like there was last year.

Judging by that poll, it looks like Apple's storage scam worked to perfection, lots of people plopping down the extra $100 for 64gb. Present company included!

Yeah, I am not happy about that. Really just wanted 32 GB, but since 16 GB is a joke (especially with 3X graphics assets coming to all your apps), there really is no choice.

I agree how you fell but it would have been a bigger scam to the shareholders. This will bring in billions of $$$

I misread your post and thought you said that we would be seeing a lot of people walking around with 5.5 inch PURSES in a few months!! :D Guess those would actually have to be 5.7 inch purses to accommodate a case! LOL!

I mean, it is what it is. At least we're getting double the memory we typically would have gotten at this price.

But yeah, 16 gig needs to go, 32 needs to be the entry. Oh well. Not hating 64 gigs though.

I ordered the 4.7 inch, 16GB in Silver.

I'm tall and have long fingers, but still wasn't interested in the 6+. I really enjoy usability, and I think the 4.7 will be the sweet spot for one handed use for my hand size.

I have the silver 5s now (after all black iPhone's before), and I enjoy it. I have the black Apple leather case on it, and it looks professional. Will probably get the midnight blue Apple leather case for my 6.

I got the 16GB because, well, I don't need that much space. Especially with iCloud Photos, now (where I have 20GB iCloud space), my photos won't need to live on my phone's HD space. I also subscribe to iTunes Match, so I never have much music stored on my phone. I usually have enough space to add a movie or some shows before flights.

Oh, no doubt. It's pure brilliance from a business standpoint. But I'm not an Apple shareholder (that I'm aware of...lol), so my concern is from the consumer end. But yes, shareholders well be smiling, widely.

lol!! :) There might be a few walking around with 5.7 purses. The funny thing for those who use Otterbox defender cases will have a lot of extra weight to carry around.

My father uses a Galaxy Note 2 with a defender case and its massive! I hope next year Apple makes both the 6s and 6s Plus identical in terms of features with the exception of battery life and screen size of course. I prefer the smaller size.

I think in both sizes, 64GB is the sweet spot.

I wanted it for the battery, screen quality, and OIS. Apple screwed up three orders for my + last night so I ended up with a 128GB silver 4.7". Worse comes to worse, I'll accept delivery next Friday then go to a store and hopefully find a Plus. Otherwise, I won't be too disappointed with the 4.7" - it'll be much easier to handle.

I'm quite surprise on the popularity of the 6+. There are so many threads on here about how difficult it is to decide between 6 and 6+ (myself included). I was actually expecting the 6 to be sold out before the 6+, or at most the demand will be 50/50. I was not expecting the ship date for the 6+ already slipped to 3-4 weeks, while the 6 are still available for launch day.

couldnt decide which one i wanted...have my mind set on the iphone 6 and my heart set on 6+ so i ordered both.. Both will be here on 19th..

Will use them for a week or so to decide if 6+ is too big for daily use, hoping i will like the 6+ and keep it. If not i will keep the 6.

Ordered both in silver and 64gb. Lets see which one goes back to apple.

Talked to a few friends this morning who were planning on getting a 4.7, they both decided on the 5.5 Plus at the last minute. Too much screen to resist, I guess. Could be happening a lot.

I think you will see the majority of iPhone 6 users will have the 5.5" phone. In fact I will even go far to say that 5.5 will be the new norm going forward.

I think it will be very popular but I think Apple will always keep 2 sizes minimum. Too much money to be left on the table if they didn't. Having multiple sizes allows them to get every purse and wallet out there.
