I'm quite surprise on the popularity of the 6+. There are so many threads on here about how difficult it is to decide between 6 and 6+ (myself included). I was actually expecting the 6 to be sold out before the 6+, or at most the demand will be 50/50. I was not expecting the ship date for the 6+ already slipped to 3-4 weeks, while the 6 are still available for launch day.

I would guess it's a mix of two things - the 6+ does seem very popular (though MacRumors is probably not a reflection of the general population) but there are also a lot less available (for whatever reason).

So it's not like they started with equal amounts of the 6 and 6+ and the 6+ has way outsold the 6, I highly doubt that's true. I would guess there are probably ten 6's available for every 6+ at this point. And I would also guess that people who line up next Friday morning are going to find carrier and retail stores have little, if any, 6+'s to dole out.

I think it will be very popular but I think Apple will always keep 2 sizes minimum. Too much money to be left on the table if they didn't. Having multiple sizes allows them to get every purse and wallet out there.

I completely agree with you. I'm hoping Apple does add OIS to the 4.7 model next year but we will need to wait and see. I have it on my HTC ONE M7 and I love it especially for video.

I agree with this. Since Apple is unsure if the masses truly want that big of a phone, they will not make millions of them out the gates until they can gauge interest. They don't want to have the $900 Million Surface write off issue......

Like with each previous edition, I went big. iPhone 6 Plus, AT&T, 128 GB, Space Gray. I dislike even thinking about how much space that I have left. I carry thousands of pictures, songs and lots of apps.

Nice! I doubt you will be upgrading for years :)

I went with the 6 Plus, 64GB in space gray. 16GB isn't enough room for me personally. 32GB was my sweet spot, so I went with the larger phone and more space. I said if I'm going to go for it, why not get the bigger one. Hopefully it doesn't make my hand look even smaller!

6 Plus, Silver, 128GB. Sure, I'll likely have a lot of extra room for now. But will not worry over time about the need to delete anything to make room.

Always had black/space gray until the 5s. I really liked the change to white. Nice clean professional look to it. I do watch videos as well, but I don't find this often discussed "distraction" with white. It's no different than watching my tv in a room with a white wall background.... so.. works for me.

If only that was true. However, since I have an 11-year-old daughter she gets the 5s and I move up to the 6+. When the 7 comes out, she'll be encouraging me to move up. Hey, it's a good excuse.

Lol! Daddy's little girl knows how to play the game! :)

With how difficult the ordering process was, it could possibly be not what's popular but what's available for delivery on the 19th.

Yup. I was originally going to get the silver but ended up ordering the Space Grey instead! But that's okay, I had the gold iPhone 5s for the last year, having the black face will add to the new factor :D

first of all props OP for the patience on creating that Poll hahaha...

hmm space gray and 64gb seems to be the most popular color and capacity option.

Went for 64GB Space Grey 6 Plus in the end.

Originally wanted silver but the SG just looked so sleek. Doesn't arrive until October but I'm relatively patient, shouldn't be too bad a wait!

Surprised to see iPhone 6 Plus 5.5", space gray, 128 GB in 3rd place. Doesn't bode well for my pre-order shipment getting moved up lol

I was thinking the same thing. I hope mine comes before Oct 19th… We are going to WDW and I want that new camera.
