Okay this one proves that Best Bang for buck is 16GB followed by 64GB and than 32GB of i4S
https://www.macrumors.com/2011/10/20/iphone-4s-component-costs-once-again-begin-at-about-188/

In the case of the iPhone 4S, [IHS iSuppli analyst Andrew] Rassweiler estimates that the BOM cost ranges from $188 for the 16 gigabyte version of the iPhone 4S to $207 for the 32GB version and $245 for the 64GB version. Apple and its carrier partners sell the phones for $199, $299 and $399 respectively, typically with a two-year contract for wireless service that carriers use to subsidize the cost they pay Apple.

All the people who are against the 32GB are bitter because they cannot afford it.

Value is perceived when it comes to buying electronics like this. You want value for a phone? Get the free 3GS. Otherwise, let us people with some money buy whatever we need to store the amount fo stuff we choose to carry with us every day.

Woke up on wrong side of bed today :). All this article says is people with some money should buy 64GB version instead of limiting to 32GB one - afterall size matters :).

I think you either need everything on the phone or nothing. So it's 16 or 64. 32 is the worst in terms of value but seems to be popular as the $399 price point is extremely unattractive to most consumers. I'm debating between a 16 or 64... 64 would be perfect for my lossless music collection, and I can consolidate it with my iPod classic and just sell that off.

16GB for sure. I see post if one need 17GB storage 16GB Model is no good. That goes true if you need 65GB, even 64GB Model is no good.

AFAIK resale value of IP4/32GB over IP4/16GB was very minimal.

64 is the worst in terms of value. unless of course you think a 48GB SSD is worth $200. Or a 32GB SSD $100.

For me, 32 holds everything I'd need and more. The 16 actually holds everything I need but doesn't really have any room for additions (1080p video, namely) so I'd go with the 32 for my own needs.

That logic makes no sense. I could say "64GB is not that good of a value if you need 65GB of storage space!"

Which would be true!

I think his point was you should buy whatever will fit what you need/want to carry on your phone. If you want 17 Gigs of stuff, then 16 is a bad deal cause all your stuff won't fit.

Personally I originally bought a 32 and the next day went back to VZW and had them order me a 64, which I'll be swapping out. I did it because I don't think data will be getting any smaller in the future. I've never heard anyone complain about having too much space.

As for what stuff you should have with you, might I point to this:
