The 4g LTE rumor is the only one that interests me the most. Also, probably the least likely to happen to. All the rest of the rumors are meh....whatever. ios5 doesn't even count as an iPhone 5 upgrade, since iPhone 4 will have it as well. Now a thinner, different back, faster processor, better camera. Just average upgrades. Design is all preferential anyway. My iPhone 4 doesn't lag on anything and I run it pretty hard... so no need for faster processor. Better camera is always ok, but I have taken pictures on my iPhone and they suit the spur of the moment needs. Also, difference between the newly toted 8meg on droids and the current 5meg pixel on iPhone are minimal imo.

I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned more. I can't wait for the A5! I'm not even all about power but damn, having 9 times better graphics processing or whatever it has Is sweeeeeet!!

The 2 things I really want on my next iPhone are a bigger screen and more storage (64 GB).

I would also like LTE, but that isn't happening any time soon.

I'll probably buy a white one no matter what. I wanted white for my 4 but wasn't about to wait that long.

Anyone who wants a bigger screen: prepare to be disappointed. Feel free to quote this when they announce the next phone.

I am not a huge screen advocate. In fact, I would be disappointed if iPhone 5 happened to have a 4.5" screen. I HATE super big phones just for the simple fact that I carry it with me all day. I have my iPad2 & 21.5" iMac if I want to view something on a big screen.

With all that being said, I still bet the house that iPhone 5 will have a slightly larger screen and less bezel. Even a jump to 3.7" with less bezel would be sweet.

Apple is unique in the fact that it only has 1 phone in it's lineup with a yearly refresh rate (or in this case about 16 months). iPhone 5 is going to be it's flagship device through the end of 2012. With display technology zooming along at record speeds, and screens getting bigger and better almost monthy, I don't think 3.5" is where Apple wants to be. Not too much bigger, but bigger none the less.

So, Anyone who wants a (slightly) bigger screen: prepare to be elated. Feel free to quote this when they announce the next phone.

A "snappy" interface! :)

Actually all I really want is a better camera. I LOVE my 4 though!!!

I'm looking for something different regarding hardware (3G - GPS, 3GS - Compass, 4 - Gyroscope). Perhaps we will see some other type of sensors or NFC. That's the main thing to me that makes the iPhone different from other generations, something you could not do with an old iPhone.

1. LED notification light

2. edge to edge screen, preferably 4.0 inch, but nothing beyond that

3. Non-glass exterior. Rumors have it that the back will be made of adamantium.

edge-to-edge screen in the same iphone 4 form factor.

this would be a reasonable interpretation of edge-to-edge

Oh GOD PLEASE NO! I DON'T NEED AN ANDROID PHONE I WANT MY CLASSY YET CASUAL IPHONE!

But in all seriousness the thing that concerns me is the battery life with the A5 chip! I don't want a four-hour battery or anything :(

But yes to these:

-Notification LED that you can turn on and off
-Slightly larger screen. We don't want pissed off Devs.. and wouldn't they have been notified already about resizing their apps?
-Keep SHAPE of iPhone 4, I just love the Non-Curved design! I can't explain it!

That's something I've been thinking about as well. Unless they are planning on waiting to tell devs until the keynote kind of like the retina display transition and devs making their apps retina display compatible

The A5 chip would offer better power consumption, not worse, so no worries there.

With a larger screen, devs only need to be notified if the resolution of the display changes. It's not like they would change the aspect ratio, so with a larger screen at the same resolution, everything would be exactly the same only larger.

I just want it to be LTE, the slow 3G speed in addition to the unimpressive render speeds on my 3GS make me just want a faster web browsing experience. The A5 should take care of that a bit, but please apple, LTE!

What can we honestly expect Apple to announce after 15 months? I think they'll look the fool if it's just an iPhone 4 with a new chip and camera.

Even a 3.7" screen would be a cop-out.

I'd like to see a 4" screen and rounded back in addition to an A5 chip and upgraded camera. I can't imagine anyone with a 4 upgrading if it's just a chip and camera update. They'd, essentially, gain nothing for $200 and another 2 year commitment.

maybe because i just recently switched to an iphone..the iphone 4, I am not looking for a new design, I love the design of the iphone 4..maybe just me

Definitely the LED notification light.
