I actually wouldn't mind if the iPhone 5 was the same design (roughly) as the 4. I love the 4's design, I think it's gorgeous and the idea is very clever on paper. In practice, there is the problem of the antenna issue, but a high-profile problem such as that surely would be at the top of Apple's list of priorities for the 5.

I wouldn't mind a return to the aluminium backed iPhone, but I feel the glass back gives a certain sheen of class to it.

I also don't think a bigger screen is needed. The 3.5" screen is more than enough, any bigger and the phone would become cumbersome in my opinion. Whenever a bigger screen is mentioned, I get the image of the HTC Desire HD in my head; beautiful phone, but much much too big. Also if they do introduce a bigger screen, wouldn't that screw up the quality of the Retina Display, since it is comes from the density of the pixels? Bigger screen = bigger pixels = less quality surely? I'm not an expert on this, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

A notification LED would be very good, especially after being introduced to this godsend using an HTC Wildfire for the past four months.

A better camera doesn't really make any difference to me, as I don't use it very much anyway.

Essentially, to me, it doesn't matter what the iPhone 5 is, because I will be getting one regardless. When I decided I wanted a iPhone to replace my HTC, I thought about just buying an iPhone 4, but since the 5's release is imminent I'm happy to wait a few weeks.

I'm not telling anyone what to think, this is just what I think.

LTE, Larger Screen and Thinner.

This would be an amazing combination alongside iCloud!

When you think there's no way you must hope that if anybody can surprise, it's going to be Apple.

They might roll out LTE hardware with a promise of it going live with AT&T in the near future but but the hardware in our hands now.

Same with me. Anything short of a drastic redesign, with a larger screen, I may not even upgrade. The pictures that came out today of the supposed front panel were nothing short of disappointing..no matter what hardware it incases. I'm holding on to the fact that what we saw in those photos was the iPhone 4s (aka cheaper version).

No need to really worry though. I just can't picture Apple taking the stage at the next keynote (which is the biggest, most anticipated event since 07) and with dramatic fashion, ripping the proverbial sheet off of a brand new, sparkling,....iphone4???. After the crowd booed for 5 mins, Tim cook would come out and say "wait, wait guys...but it's faster and takes better pictures" Just no possible way that will happen. NO WAY!

So with that being said, I am preparing myself to be floored with beauty and amazement when it finally gets announced. Anything less and Apple will fall like a lead balloon in the smartphone market. Apple will never let that happen. I'm willing to bet the farm on it!

I hate how everyone is liking the 'pictures' released today. I hate the look of it, its like a rectangle. ewwwwwww.

I'd love to have a built in toilet paper dispenser. On a serious note, notification light will be nice. Build in image stabilizer will also be nice.

I had no idea people cared about the LED notification. Any time I've ever had a phone that had it, I've turned it off. I hate it.

lol? 3G > 3GS

Bigger screen ****
A5 Chip **
Better/Louder Speakers *****
Home Screen Gestures **

New Backing (but not like the iPod, don't want a 100 scratches on it) ***
FM Radio ****
Better Battery *****
LED ****

64GBs of storage is the one I want most tbh.

Then also a better camera (hopefully with 1080p recording) and a bigger screen would be nice!

Also the same price as the current 4's.

Screw the A5 chip -- iOS5 doesn't need it anyway. Get rid of the glass back that shatters, move to a more durable build material (like the metal backing on the iPad) and I'm sold.

No more glass!!!

Agreed. Screen is fine. iOS5 beta works great on my iPhone 4, so CPU upgrade would be negligible.

Durability would be great. I hate using a case on my phone.

Oh, money printing as well...

Yeah, I don't get this either. Does it just notify you if you have a new e-mail? Am I the only person who pretty much always has a new e-mail?

Easy question. World support with/CDMA compatibility.

Bought the iP4 in Feb. on release, and now have to buy the iP5 so it'll work in Europe this summer. Leben ist sehr teuer.

I think that just about sums up the qualities we could hope to expect (fm radio would be nice but not likely). I really want a back like they have on the iPad 1, where it is made of metal, but doesn't get millions of pocket made spiderweb scratches all over and would dent over shattering like glass (plexiglass, apple?)

An antenna that works. And please no flashing/annoying LED light.

LED light is a big plus for me. at work i just sit my phone on my desk and don't even need to touch it unless i see the notification light. its really the only thing i like better about my blackberry.
