We just finished Painkiller on Netflix. Good show and man, politics, money, and big pharma... what could go wrong.
Just went through Justified: City Primeval in two days.
Discovered the original Jusified series this Summer, and both me and the missis enjoyed that series greatly. The modern crime, action series with solid Westerns vibes and a spectacular cast, lead by en excellent Timothy Olyphant, was one of the best (non scifi/fantasy) series I've seen since Sopranos and Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul.
The new mini series might not be quite up to its predecessor, but it's close, and the ending set up a (potential) continuation, that might take it back to it's roots. Crossing my fingers for another series.

I’ve been watching the latest season of Reservation Dogs and it’s very good, great cast, funny or sad and very original! Finally a good TV show, there are so few.
I paused watching Invasion for this, just finished watching it. Utterly brilliant series and adaption. So so much fun. Highly recommend it.
^That's good news. I love One Piece, and live action anime adaptations are so rarely any good.

We really liked Jack Ryan and man we were also bummed this was the last season and they cut it short. Ugh.
The Roku device has a Roku TV channel that has free and paid shows... I checked and The Rockford Files is in the free tier - as I recall there were 5 or 6 seasons...
The entire cast is great, but come on...Matt freakin' Berry. That's Emmy work.
But if I had to identify with one of the vampires, I hate to say it's Colin Robinson.
Star Trek: Lower Decks. I’ve grown tired of Star Trek in general but as an ex- Trekkie I am still very amused with Lower Decks.
Although I’ve come to the conclusion it is probably better to bing on a whole season at a time instead of weekly episodes. So I’ll stop watching season 4, until the whole season is released.

Dota: Dragon's Blood. I've only watched the first episode so far, but I like what I see so far. Nice D&D vibe as there are multiple types of dragons hinted and 2 types portrayed so far. The animation is a bit choppy which detracts from the nice art.
The MC's (main character) voice bugs me. The voice acting is fine, it's the stereotypical cocky jock voice that annoys me. The guy is supposed to be a grizzled dragon slayer with PTSD (parents killed by a dragon). You'd expect someone with that background to have a gravelly (Jack Palance) voice. Someone with that rough lifestyle and history would make him somewhat cynical and somewhat asocial. The fratboy voice--and attitude--doesn't work for me.😒
One of the elder dragon is portrayed by deep voiced Tony Todd. Holy moly.😲 Kurn, son of Mogh.🤩 A pity that elder dragon dies in the first episode. Hopefully the elder dragon shows up in later episodes🤞 as his soul possesses the MC.

Shameless. Initially watched it once up through Season 5-7 somewhere and needed something raw AF like that to take my mind off of turmoil at work now (and it definitely does the trick, good lord.........)
