In which order are you watching these? Apart from the original it’s confusing as to which to watch. I watched Enterprise then Discovery but not sure if that’s the order.

Off the top of my head...

Enterprise
Discovery Seasons 1-2
Strange New Worlds
The Original Series
The Animated Series (from 1973)
Original Series movies
Next Generation
Next Generation movies
Deep Space Nine
Voyager
Lower Decks

Playing catch up on Gen V... what a freaking ride!

season-1

The Fall of the House of Usher (2023) by Mike Flanagan, based on the entirety of Edgar Allan Poe’s works and lore.

Extraordinary. Supreme. Delicate. Scary. Introspective. Engaging. Disturbing.

Mike Flanagan gives us one - if not the - best interpretations of Edgar Allan Poe’s lore in a whole new, modern light. Usually “modernizations” tend to piss on the source material, however Flanagan is able to be not only innovative but also respectful. The source material is perfectly integrated to the plot, not only as a side mention, but as a vital component of the story.

I am seriously impressed by this work. It has been 20 years since I’ve read all of Poe, it’s time for me to finally pick up from the shelves Poe’s book with all the tales and poetry again and read it as I am sure I missed countless references.

Best thing I've seen all year so far. It's brilliant. So well written, directed and acted. Not a boring minute in the whole series.

Agreed. The only Flanagan series I prefer to this is Midnight Mass.

My ratings:
1. Midnight Mass
2. The Fall of the House of Usher
3. The Hunting of Hill House
4. The Hunting of Bly Manor
(Loooong distance from 4)
5. Midnight Club (I couldn’t finish it. It was unbearable.)

We're binging The Big Bang Theory at the moment.

We used to watch that back when we had linear TV, but it was one of the shows we - more or less - stopped watching when we "cut the cord" and went streaming only back in 2014-ish. We're well into season 10 at the moment, and thus reached the episodes we've haven't seen before. :)

This one has been mentioned a few times in this thread. I loved this show and still watch the reruns when they are on.

Interesting, I'd personally rate Midnight Club right up there with Usher on 1/2 (not sure which I like better). Then Midnight, Hill House and Bly Manor last. Guess there's something for everyone. :)

I think Flanagan will be busy with The Dark Tower now and I'm afraid it will set a completely different tone to what we've seen so far. Not that it will be bad, just different. Time will tell. I might actually rewatch Hill House and Bly Manor before Dark Tower comes out.

What !?! No I Love Lucy
Ya know, I'm not a real big "classic tv sitcom" fan.

There were some very good shows but ... meh.

Get Smart used to be one of my faves...

Newhart would, all of his shows really especially the one where he lived in the inn, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show would make it in as well...

my bad.
