the first 10 minutes is great!

Just got done watching Landman Season 2 episode 1. It was very good.
to see season 2 I saw the last 3 episodes last nigh,
I tried watching the last episode, but with 5 minute left,
I turned that off since I need a mental break since too much was too much
though I saw that episode already.
and I watch games of thrones continuously every year, so I used to loaded over-bearing scripts.

hopefully season 2 get more level scripts and less eye candy wife and daughter since they seem irrelevant.

Just finishing up watching this Sci-Fi series on Amazon Prime - really enjoyed it

I'm halfway through the first season. Great writing, although they gloss over some real life stuff to keep the plot from bogging down. The kid in a barn who can access any computer in the world is a bit of a stretch. He's Harold Finch (Persons of Interest) to agent Cameron's John Reese.😉 Believable characters, especially Kellogg. I would act exactly how he does if I came from the future with knowledge of future events. My favorite character so far is master Bra'tac Kagame. He's a man of principles. Kind, yet ruthless, his character is complex.

What I like most is that the bad guy's side is more virtuous than the good guy's side, at least in my view. The bad guys, Liber8, I view as Chaotic Good. Same with the CPS agent accidentally sent back in time with them. "Sometimes you have to do what's wrong to do what's right." The Corporate Congress, the Government, is Lawful Evil.

I finally finished watching Lazarus, turned out to not be all that bad, just a slow start, especially with all the built-up hype as it being the next Cowboy Bebop and all that...

I finished Mad Men and now I'm finally watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The writing is very corny, but a young Sarah Michelle Gellar makes up for it. Always avoided it since I always preferred Kristy Swanson as Buffy, but Sarah does have that beauty about her.

We finished Bones some time ago, and are now going through Sleepy Hollow and Discovery of Witches again.

The All Souls trilogy (which I have also read) which DoW was based on, was written by a historian of Elizabethan Alchemy. The second series (and book) is set in Elizabethan London and Europe, and is worth watching just for the historical accuracy and the costumes. The book gives more detail regarding the characters. It revolves around a missing book, Ashmole 782, which exists, but is missing in real life also.

It's a re-image of the Mark Walberg movie of the same name. The movie is a re-image of the first Bob Lee Swagger book, Point of Impact. If you've read the book, you might like it or you might hate it. Frankly, I'm not a fan of the Hollywood treatment Bob Lee: well adjusted, civilized and good looking. In the book, he's a country boy with a Southern drawl who became an ornery alcoholic in his retirement. Master Sgt O'Brien (pictured above) in season 1, Ep 6 is closer to the book Bob Lee than either the movie or TV series Bob Lee.

Anyhow, it's a pretty good series, despite my gripe about Bob Lee Swagger getting Hollywood up. If you haven't read the books, there is nothing to hate.;)

Just finished the last season last month. To be honest it went on about a season and a half too long.

I have been watching a Chinese drama, titled "Prisoner Of Beauty" that has been aired by Viki.com. Both my wife and I are enjoying this 36-episode show since every episode is engaging, and unlike a lot of very good Asian shows it has a happy ending. I don't enjoy fantasy or imaginary shows where the heroes and good people end up dying and things like that. After all, dying or no hope in sight is a real-life event for some people.

But as I have mentioned in this forum, "viki.com" does not allow for more than one profile per account, so I would not recommend this company for a family, or more than one person in the household unless they are willing to share the the movies or shows in the same profile. There is no way that I would pay twice the amount of $ to have an individual account for myself and another for my wife. :)

Started on watching season 1 of Silicon Valley on HBO Max, while still on the line with season 2 of Snoopy in Space (Apple TV).

Got recommended for Silicon Valley from a friend~ really great series on tech startups.

I am presently watching another Chinese 49-episode TV series titled, "The Long Ballad." I watched it about two years ago, and found it quite interesting because it is engaging and has a happy ending.

Another show I watched twice (once last year, and recently this year) and liked it even more than the one above. This is a Korean 16-episode (?) drama, titled "My Dearest."
