Lol no. All my white Apple keyboards have shown usage over the years and that’s with me keeping them clean.
if you have those issues on the white keyboards....then stay away from the darker colours. I dont have issues on either black or white keyboards, even on devices that are 3-4 years old at my office
But again, you are 1 in a 1 million . So again, dont worry..or if you worry then don't buy it. You should be happy when you buy your next device, and worried on your own money

Jon Prosser has seen actual photos of a blue MacBook Air and he let someone make renders based on these photos. So uuuuh yeah, white bezels and white keys:

if you like it, cool
personally i cant work on device with white bezels - somehow they keep annoying me and taking my focus to them rather than to content on the screen. need neutral colors bezel (black, or dark gray)

i do love super flat design though. just add two more ports on each side, make it silver/dark gray, use blacks on keyboard and bezel and thats the macbook pro i'd buy on release day (assuming more powerful CPU/GPU than M1)

i think they are going to set apart consumer and pro products with color differentiation - say pro devices will retain current mac pro/pro display silver/black color scheme, and consumer products will go full rainbow.

If this computer ends up being released, I bet it will be called MacBook. I don't think they will ever call any laptop Air unless it has that signature wedge shape or at least very thin edges.

kinda. except this thing apparently has completely flat top and bottom (mbp tapered toward the edges)

MBP tapered towards the edges? I had my 2016 MBP for two years, I don't think that was the case, if memory serves me right. 🤔

Darker colors on the back of the new iMac > pastel colors. I see why apple does this since its subtle but it would have looked more vibrant.

I like the idea of the colors. Would love to upgrade my 2019 MBA to match my Blue 2021 iMac. However I don't really know how I feel about the white keyboard on a laptop.

A lot of rumours are now pointing to the air having white bezels and keys. If this was the case how would you feel about it?

Personally I actually kind of like it.

I do like that it differentiates the MacBook Air from the MacBook Pro in more than just form factor, and the new iPad Air-like (Prosser leak) form factor is definitely ideal too.

Still, to me, the colors are very unappealing, and I feel the overall look is clumsy/corny as a result of them. In contrast to the introduction of the former MacBook Air, it feels immature, gaudy, and unimpressive to the point of disappointment. I remember when Intel MBA came out, I couldn’t not have one due to the elegant gold design (Ive). I still remember “Light. Speed.” headlines and have great nostalgia for it. This leaked design feels like an afterthought and very much reminds me of the old iBook/early MacBook. Wah! 👶🏻

The full sized function keys and smaller trackpad seem like an odd choice, but it looks like it could be their way of supporting touchID with a large sensor/non-Touch Bar.

I definitely wouldn't mind too much. Given that my first Intel Mac was a 2009 polycarbonate MacBook (the last one to use the original 2006 case design), I liked that white look to the bezel and keyboard. I also have a 2005 eMac G4 desktop with the same white polycarbonate motif and I also liked that. As for keyboard colors, I like both kinds; with my 2012 quad-core Mac Mini I use an Apple Magic Keyboard (Lightning charger version) with the white keys, and with my work iMac I use an older white Apple Pro Keyboard, though I also like the look of the black keys on my silver M1 MacBook Air and the older Apple Pro Keyboard, and I am thinking of maybe getting a Space Gray Magic Keyboard in the future (especially if my next Mac desktop is a beefed-up Mac Mini in the Space Gray casing.)

if you look at the lid it curves at the edges. On the new one it is completely flat.

Makes me happy I ordered an M1 Macbook Air. I'm all for the variety but they should at least offer one in Space Gray with black bezels and black keys (ditto for the new iMac) for those of us who don't want their expensive electronics to look like a kids toy.

Love the design but… no magsafe on the new Air?
I agree, but nothing is confirmed yet, so. Perhaps they’ll make MagSafe a “pro” differentiating addition since basically all macs have the same chip inside now. Just speculating

White bezels, white keys, colors childish looking trash. It is a joke to see some people make excuses that these aren't "professional" laptops. The specs say otherwise. Oh ok so they are professional so that is your excuse for Apple not having the Air in colors prior to now? Apple better slap the Macbook only name on this colored crap. How is the world can a laptop with basically similar specs as any professional laptop be deemed not professional by Apple apologists?
Because it’s in a non professional color lol. If you don’t like the colors, then you aren’t the target audience for the computer. Look at all the advertising material for the new M1 iMacs. Most of the people featured are children, families, and people in schools/ universities. The iMac line has always been the “family” computer or the “school” computer. Apple is going back to its roots with those colors by making the computer fun. I’m certain they’ll keep (in my opinion) boring space Gray and silver colors for the professionals.

In my opinion the tapered design is way better to type on, which is why I always got a MacBook Air instead of a MacBook Pro. Or am I the only one thinking like that?

I sincerely hope that they don't update the keyboard again, but I fear that they will need to given the extreme thinness

I love it - my first MacBook was an Early 2008 model which I fell in love with. I am a big fan of my personal laptop looking more "fun" and having some personality to it.

I think it would be awesome every now and then Apple should switch things up, It will probably make us more excited to head our ways back to black bezels in the future :)

The point is that the Air is a different lineup from the Pro, and it therefore makes sense to have more differentiating factors. Besides, there is a difference between those who would need business-looking laptops for the office and those who might want fun colors for other environments, even if the power needs are more or less comparable.

Also, while you clearly do not like the appearance (keeping in mind that this is a render), we won't all agree on that.

You apple apologists are truly something else. Yes it is a different line with is differentiating feature being its thinness. If the Air line is a line that was not meant for office environments it would not have featured a color scheme similar to the Pro from the onset nor would it have featured similar internals. Meanwhile the iPad Air and Pro and regular iPad all share the same color scheme.
