Because the white front/colored back is already used on the iPod touch. Easy to differentiate, this way. At least, that's my line of thought.

Because the white front/colored back is already used on the iPod touch. Easy to differentiate, this way. At least, that's my line of thought.
I have been going white since the 3GS and digging it.
It adds just a little more touch of style I think than black... I do think white/gold will be just too metro for me though so I'm doing white/silver.
Also, if it matters to you, people will know you have the latest one since the 5C is all black front.

It's the penalty for not paying the premium the getting the white front option lol
look at any CAD program that uses colors and the background is always black. i think there is no argument that all colors look truer set against black. white washes lighter colors out to where you can't tell their true color. it's also more of a strain on the eyes. how many TVs do you see with a white front?
i don't know why this is even an argument.
now, if you're not going to argue the above point, but just state that you like white better regardless, then that's a different story, but i wouldn't state that it, in any way, improves the viewing experience.

Everybody has simple minded ways about them. Luckily my opinion on white iPhones isn't life threatening.
I have a white ipad and have had a white faced iphone before... The fact is that white content on the screen is a cooler white than the body of the device, so it makes the device look like kind of a sickly milky yellow white in comparison, whenever the screen is on. It doesn't look good. But it looks great when the screen is off.
Under bright fluorescent lighting the white looks good also, but in warm lighting it looks horrible.

I'm a straight male, I've had black for a while and I went with gold to change it up. Do I care? Of course not. If you care, seek therapy. You need to learn to not care what people think or your life is going to be miserable. Seriously people. This is as pathetic as it gets.

I don't understand this logic. First it was pink (which was originally a boys color), then purple, then anything pastel and now WHITE! Pretty soon men won't be allowed to use anything because we're too busy throwing our freedoms away in the name of hypermasculinity.

This is a funny thread. Had black phones forever. Decided to try white this time around. Don't think white is a girly color. How many guys have their house painted black, or their walls painted black? Funny that a white painted house with dark trim is more manly than any other color a man would select. Bought black today and I'm remembering why I like white so much.
Black is too boring and serious. With iOS7 in particular, white is the way to go. I'm looking forward to ordering the gold or silver later today.
