I know this is kind of silly, but just curious.....

Does anyone have a white iPad that they use at work? Particularly in an office setting? I will be purchasing an iPad air soon mainly for use at my job. I am in an office environment and spend way too much time in meetings. I plan to use my iPad to make notes in meetings and keep my thoughts organized from one meeting to the next.

So my question.... is a white iPad unprofessional? Others I work with who have iPads have black iPads, but I am considering white and am wondering if it will come off less executive-ish if you know what I mean.

Opinions?

Thanks!

If you have to think about such a dumbass question then you will never succeed. Do what you think is right and be a trend setter if you have to. There are plenty more important business decisions to make than the color of your tools.

You're assuming the OP hasn't already had success. Perhaps the OP measures success differently than you do.

A white iPad is fine for an office/business environment. Just make sure that you leave your Hello Kitty case at home.:p

Black and white are pretty neutral colors, so I really don't think you can go wrong. I bring a white iPad Air to work everyday. Never one negative comment. I use the black Smart Cover because I like the tuxedo look.

Honestly, the case makes a bigger difference. If you use a professional looking case, nobody will notice the color of your iPad. On the other hand, if you use a bedazzled Miley Cyrus twerking case, it really won't matter what color iPad you choose.

I know I told my workers that white ipads are banned from the office. Black only. White is unprofessional and kiddy.

Miss Kitty -

1. I feel sorry for your workers.
2. I really hope you're are just a troll sent here to make us all throw up on our keyboards by samsung corporate.

:D

iPad color has no impact on perceived professionalism. Get what you want.

This made me laugh. Get what YOU want, and not what OTHERS want you to get. Saying using a white ipad is unprefessional is similar to saying that writing on non-legal pad (or white) paper is unprofessioanl. I does not matter the color (white or black) or the size (Mini or Air) that you use as long as you get your work done.

White and black are both professional colors when it comes to electronics. That's probably why Apple only makes iPads in those colors.

I have a white iPad air with an electric blue snugg case :) I take it to meetings all the time. I love it. with the goto meeting apps, and remote desktop, it is everything I need.

OP, professionalism comes from you, not your equipment. Get the white, if you're really uncomfortable about it get a really nice leather case. But after 30+ years in professional settings I promise your attitude and actions will have more import on what your co-workers and bosses think of you.

Enjoy!

What about pink with sparkles?

Yes.

Our walls here are painted white. The ceilings are white with some specs. The background of most of my documents are white. I think parts of the exterior of the building is white.

I see nothing wrong with white in a professional/corporate environment.

But if you have trouble deciding on the color of your tools...

Thank you all for your comments. Especially this fine gem. I am actually very successful. I am the youngest manager in my large office and already have an executive position I am being groomed to take over in a year. I realize the color of an iPad is petty, it was just a question I thought I would throw out there. Since I am the youngest by several years in most manager and executive meetings I attend, I don't want the older crowd turning up there noses at a "kiddish, white iPad" lol. However, most of these responses have led me to believe it should be just fine. And I will probably be getting a black case which should step it up a notch.

Use you white iPad without a case. Nobody will care. My wife uses hers, she manages a lot of people and makes well over 6 figures that starts with a 3.

Please. I'm certain you don't work nor do you have "workers" because if you did, you wouldn't call them "workers."

I've been the youngest manager in a large company and yet, I would never think twice about a white iPad. Seriously.

If you like white get white and no one will care or say anything. And when they come out with gold iPads and you want get it. iPads are iPads.

White is still very cool, plus you'll have it in a case anyway. I recommend Notability for notes at work, or Pages now that it's free. iOS 7 notes absolutely suck- stark fuzzy white background, no texture or page lining options, it's the worst.
