As financially successful as it has been, I have a terrible impression about the iPhone 4 and wouldn't want one in the house :D

Really looking forward to iPhone 5 now and forgetting about all this iPhone 4 business. Happens to everyone at some time, there's always one year that a car model is remembered as being 'the one to avoid'. Same with all products that go through this cycle.

I had many phones through the years including the 3g and 3gs and I never ever had a problem with dropped calls before the iphone 4, now i'm surprised , truthfully surprised if I get through a call without dropping. When I heard of the iphone back in 07 my first thought was, I hope the proximity sensor works well because it would be a pain to be accidentally pressing the virtual buttons and when i got my first iphone I was delighted that it worked very well. However with iphone 4, that has all changed and its embarrassing when someone borrows your phone, accidentally presses the facetime button and then the call drops! Im really hoping iphone5 fixes these simple issues completely!!

Just give everyone who wanted a white iphone a free white bumper with the purchase of a black iPhone 4!

Why didnt the press and reviewers notice any issues with the white iPhone 4 when the phone was first announced?

They had white iPhone 4's in the hands on area after the keynote. Walt Mossbergs review model was a white iPhone. One of the newspapers in the UK had the white iPhone for review as well.

Nobody mentioned anything about any issues with colouring or the camera at the time. Surely they would have tested the flash and camera when playing around with it.

So who knows what is really going on.

No surprise.. by the time the White iPhone 4 arrives the iPhone 5 will be on the production line.

Apple did the right thing - if this rumour is true - cancel the product entirely, little point.

Learn from it and move on.

For me iPhone 4 the could be described as "design over functionality".

Well, im no troll and im no fan boy and im not tech savy. In honest to goodness truth i have no issues on my iPhone 4. no proximity sensor no dropped calls and no antenagate honestly I was suprised I saw nothing. The overall phone design is a bit awkward to the hand. To edgy, I rather feel it in a bumper. And I find that stuff like screen covers are very good to keep the glass happy and scratch free.

You know what really dissapoints me is that there talking about and iPhone 5 when I've barely had my iPhone 4 for 3 months... I like it a lot and the retina display is awesome probably the best feature on the phone. I'm aware the biggest flaw of the phone is lack of corporate utility wich the blackberry still dominates. But overall has a user friendly phone I really like it and plan on skipping a iPhone generation or two with it if it survives that long.

Again I see 0 issues of those reported with the phone. So I really don't understand what went wrong.. Bad batches of phones ?

These companies can come up with some of the most amazing technology, but they cant create a white external casing for a phone? Very weird TBH.

That's good, considering this is the thread for it.

The Real Reason White iPhone 4 Is Delayed (Hint: The Camera)

http://www.cultofmac.com/the-real-r...delayed-hint-its-not-discolored-buttons/66224

The white iPhone 4 has been delayed because it can’t take good pictures, a source with connections at Apple tells me.

The white case leaks light back in — especially when the flash is used to take pictures.

Not only has this been the news for the last 48 hours, but your "sources" seem to perfectly replicate that Cult Of Mac article. I just love little kiddies that say "STEVE TOLD ME THAT..."

Edit: never mind, the white iPhone is disappearing from all online stores now.

Yup. Seeing as how white iPhone has been entirely removed from Apple's site, I think it's safe to say that white will only make a public appearance on iPhone 5. Interesting end to an interesting fiasco.

It looks really awesome, just that the material is too hard to manufacture for Apple. Hopefully, like some others have said, they can use what they learned to make a white iPhone 5 perhaps? All we can do is see what Apple can do with it. I really like the design of it, with the gray text on the back, but it's just too tough for them to make :apple:
