oh really? too quick to speak.

I never said it was impossible. I said that site was a scam. It's very possible to disassemble your phone and replace all the parts with white ones but its not a job for the faint of heart.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkcLLI6Yv8I&feature=related

There are a lot of individual parts that have to be carefully taken apart and then put back together. Some of the electrical parts can be sensitive enough to be hurt by a static shock from your body.

Have fun wasting your money and I hope you don't get scammed.

My quesiton would be.

Apple has said they are having manufacturing troubles with the white color being to transparent or not the white they wanted.

So how could 3rd party companys have these parts already unless they are fake.

And all honestly if you are buying fake parts like this do you realy think the screen is going to be as resiliant as gurrilla glass ..

Rather than copy paste and be accused of lying I'll just post a link to the FAQ page on the site. http://www.whiteiphone4now.com/contact-us/ It says the parts are OEM. Would you like to explain to me how some random dude on the web with a terrible domain got ahold of OEM apple parts for products that aren't even for sale? And lets not forget the "bumper like" case that they're just throwing in. The reviews sound computer generated just like the ones on every "get a free gift card" Facebook scam I've ever seen. I'm just sayin'

I've been emailing the guy for a bit, he said he's gonna send me pictures of what he's got on hand.

I suppose if it's a scam I can get my money back from paypal.

If I decided to buy a new case to change the color of my iPhone, I can think of MANY colors/designs I'd choose before white.

I always prefered black anyways.

clearly you didn't read the engadget article i posted. it tells you where you can buy the parts from.

once you read it, then type a proper post.

Someone from that site sent me some pictures when asked.. Thought you guys might find this interesting.

Hi,

http://i27.tinypic.com/2r55g1g.jpg
http://i26.tinypic.com/2wel06g.jpg Glass Front and Back and supporting frame for the front

I only have these laying around for now, I can provide pics for complete kit in a few days time for the skeptics.

1. If I were to just take your money and run you can always open a dispute on PayPal and get your money back if I can't provide tracking information. It's not like you're paying me with western union or something.
2. The "White iP4 Kits Sold" counter and testimonials are real and not just some ******** I threw on there… If the customers are happy with what they got it's not that hard to ask for a 1-2 sentence review. I know they sound generic as eternlgladiator pointed out but that's what the customers are saying.
3. An engineer from FaceBook also ordered a kit.
4. We're sending Gearlive.com a kit for review so watch out for that.

And to answer your questions:

The Retina display, digitizer and front glass are assembled, but not the supporting frame (Shown in pic, not too hard to get on). The rear glass and mounting frame are assembled.

Thanks,
WhiteiPhone4Now.com

Wow, look how transparent that front panel is. Maybe that's the cause of the delays?

Wow, look how much they're going for on ebay. And that auction's only going to go up.

That's about the same price as a black phone is going for. I'd have expected $1,000 or more. Honestly, I think the demand for the white iPhone just isn't as high as the blogosphere thinks it is.

Yeah, that seems odd, but I don't think it'd matter, as all the white parts have black behind them, so the color will be uniform.

^Still 9 days before auction ends. My reasoning behind buying the kit was that I could probably sell my "early" white iPhone 4 if I didn't like it for a LOT more.

I would be interested in doing this. But I have to spend close to $800 on the iPhone 4 alone. And I already spent close to $100 in accessories, so I think I will pass. I might pay to do the back if the price was under $75.
