My black iPhone 4 has a speaker that isn't working and I have AppleCare, will they let me get a new white one instead of a black replacement?

I can almost guarantee they won't. The new white will be hot and in demand, less people will be willing to buy the black so they'll have a lot of those. Why give away the white for free when they know they can sell it to someone?

This is for all the people who say that Apple's once-per-year hardware updates are not good enough in this Android-ridden world. We just saw a CDMA iPhone 4, now we'll get the long-awaited White iPhone 4, then in a few months we'll get the 64Gb iPhone (in both colors and on both carriers). Then we'll get an iPhone 5 around November, just in time for Christmas, right after the iPad 3 is launched in late September, early October.

The white iPhone 4 is like Apple's Duke Nukem Forever. Or the phone version of Chinese Democracy. I can't tell you how many times I've seen read a story claiming that a white version is sure to come out soon. Apple might as well just say the phone will come out "When it's done" to lighten the mood.

Yeah, that Antennagate crapola worked so great for you FUDsters, didn't it? Nobody bought an iPhone 4 because of that—you can all feel really proud of yourselves. What a public service: I hadn't realized if I baked my phone in my Thanksgiving turkey it would affect the reception.

Meanwhile, in the real world—the iPhone 4 antenna is the best on the market, and nobody is having the problems you gomers made up!

My question though, how is white iphone different from the black?
