White iPhone 4 to Ship Early Next Month?

which is completely pointless unless you can get the upgrade price each time a new model comes out. once a year is perfect.
 
Like lots of users mentioned, sell our current black one and buy a white one outright? I bet money could even be made this way.
 
Should have released this last year when anyone who wanted one gave a damn. Now those in the market for a new iPhone are prepping themselves for the iPhone 5 announcement inevitability.

A small bit of too little too late imho.

Tempting but I'd rather sell my iPhone 4 and offset it against the cost of an iPhone 5 out right though ;)
 
If true, hopefully they only manufacture ~1,000.
I can't see more than that number of demand for an iPhone that late in the product cycle.

That said, I kind of get the feeling iPhone 5 will mirror the iPad 2 looks: black or white faces with aluminum backs. Could be nice to to take a unified look across all iDevices...

Im sorry but if somebody really wanted a White one like i did you brought the black and got out your screw driver ... the thought that people are still waiting for this and would go out and buy it 2 - 3 months before a refresh is laughable.

However i can see both for and against apple doing this as the iPhone 5 is likely to be the same form factor meaning producing them now in mass will give them some idea of the yield they can expect also it will allow them to use it as there "cheap" device like the 3gs is now which makes me think only 8gb models will be produced.

however i dont think many people will go for this as with white iPad 2s being released and a white iPhone 4 it is a certainty that a white iPhone 5 will be around in the summer so anyone with sense would just get the 5 in white ...

Although it has to be said i do personally love my White iPhone 4 but if the 5 has a significant increase in speed (dual core) or capacity (64gb) i shall be upgrading this summer and selling my White iPhone 4 so im hoping they dont get released to preserve the premium some people will pay...

seriously? we heard about the white iphone 4 more than half a year ago. it's old news and it looks ugly as fug anyway. just come out with the new phone already.
 
Apple is to iPhones as Lucas Films is to DVD releases. They get you with the newest, then they find another way to package it and sell it at a cost slightly higher ... then they get you again with the need to upgrade to the newest version. IE: read the history of the Avatar releases.
 
I wonder if this means there isn't going to be an iPhone 5 for a little while longer. It is silly for Apple to release this if they are just going to release another phone in a couple months.

Or maybe that is the new iPhone 5 haha :D

Oh in that case then i have an iPhone 5 and have done like 8 months before its release date ;) something however tells me there will be more of a difference than that otherwise people wont be overly happy about upgrading from a 4 to a 5 because there really isnt anything missing from the 4 that would be easy to put into the 5 except big stuff like a dual core or 64gb memory ...
 
I've had my black iPhone 4 since day 1, purchased outright. Will be upgrading to white, and will buy outright.

Most likely knowing apple they will drag it out and announce that the iPhone 5 or 4GS will be white. There's no way I can see apple release the iPhone 4 white then 2 months from now release iPhone 4GS/5 and take a LOT of hell for it.

It would be bad PR and a LOT OF people will be angry.
