I worked at the apple store a couple months ago.... my friend that is an ICS at a apple store said that as of now there are no white ones in transit.... which really sucks but hey there is hoping

Just rewatched the Keynote, and saw that Steve only showed the black ones for the pricing scheme and immediately after said the availablity/preorder dates, without showing a white iPhone 4 at all. Hmmm.

A girl I know is an ATT salesperson. she said july 19th but I still dont believe anything anyone from ATT says haha. even when I know them.

I know the manager at the AT&T store in my small town and he told me they will have a low quantity of them at launch sold on first-come first-serve basis.

I will believe it when I see it, also.

I disagree. If people want a white, they can wait like the rest of us. "Beating the system" by getting a black only to switch it out is pretty unethical.!

Unethical? Hahaha how? Apple is planning 600,000+ black iPhones and absolutely 0 white ones as far as we know. Do you really think if I bought a black iPhone and swapped it for a white one 2 weeks later I'd deprive some poor little fanboy of his black iPhone when apple has at least 599,999 more? Pfft..please, this is a cell phone we're talking about, not animal rights or something.

The only unethical one here is Apple, the bait-n-switch they pulled with still no press release about it is absolutely ridiculous. You gotta play the hand you were dealt, so I'll be picking up a black iPhone on thursday with every intention to return it for a white one asap with a conscious as clear as the Virgin Mary's.

Based on the availability for black online, I figured white is at the same time.
