white or black iphone 4?

Do you prefer BLACK or WHITE iphone 4

Today i had said to myself "it the black iphone" and then i looked at my phone that is black and saw all the fingerprints and got undecided again ahah My only concern is fingerprints really.

There is more that idea that the white one is for woman. I don't really agree with it ( or i wouldnt be considering it) because white is just a color and its not even a feminine one, if anything is neutral.

To each his own, I say. Doesn't make a difference to me. Just though people would appreciate a woman's view on the subject. Myself, I wouldn't get white because I think it looks cheap, but not feminine. :cool:

I wasnt trying to invalidate your wifes point of view, i actually appreciate it and i appreciate different points of view. I was just trying to say that a lot of people share the same point of view, that white is more feminine.

Guess you are right, the white wouldn't have that problem, only in the screen are which is expected. Im still going to try to find them in stores and see it better
 
While the white is nice, it looks a lot more like an entertainment, fancy like gadget. While the black has the industrial professional type of look, so they are both nice for different purposes. The black one is the winner for me.
 
Just to let you guys know that i made my decision. I have been looking at some pictures, saw one yesterday and i have decided the color : it will be the black iphone.
I have seen pictures and it does look good, and although the white is different and it looks great (especially the back), i would probably be a little sick of it after a while and even though i think white is the apple color, black is the iphone color.
Regarding the fingerprints i will just deal with that when i have to, i already do it now so i shouldn't worry much about it.

I love the white iPhone. I notice myself being drawn to it when I see one "in the wild."

Unfortunately, I couldn't help but upgrade when the iPhone 4 was first released, so I have a black one. Pretty soon a white iPhone 5 will be joining my white iPad. :D
 
Get a really cheap phone and then go for the iPhone 5.

If you really want the 4, then it's all about the taste. To me the black looks cooler but you can see much more fingerprints on the black one. the white is a little bit thicker but you wont notice it.

If I needed to choose I'd go for the white.
 
You are confusing me now lol but i think i will still go with the black iphone(unless they are out of stock or something) and will just have to deal with the fingerprints issue but i hope i won't regret the choice.

Its gotta be black. White is like all these white cars around at the moment (in the UK anyhow). They are cool, very cool, but will be completely out of date in 12 months and really over-common.

Go with your gut man.. Its been interesting reading this and hearing some great comments... I too was wondering the same question and have had black iPhones in the past, and silver macbookpros.

White is very catchy, looks different.. but having seen both of them, having the black surround almost makes the screen look deeper in colour and a better "FRAME" for the content on your screen.

Im decided... its black for me!

12 MONTH? dude in 12 month another iphone is gonna get released..

just get what's in style now.. who cares about 12 months. that's an eternity with phones..
 
Black never goes out of style, looks clean and professional, and it works very well with just about any case. White is very very popular though, right now, I think simply because it's different. In a few months when everyone has white, people will think that black ones look really cool again because they're more rare.
 
I was in exactly same situation: I couldn't decide what color but finally I took a jump and preordered the white iPhone 4S. I like black, all my gadgets are black. The reason I ordered the white one because most people still have black: my cousins, my brother all have black and 4 and now I'll have 4S, at least I want something look different. Black is like making a big, deep statement, more macho, mysterious. White looks more elegant, clean, like an innocent girl. Black iphone seem to have more advatages though: the screen seems to be bigger and everything seems stand out more. And even though bother are natural colors, it seems easier to find a case for the black iphone than for the white iphone
 
As much as I tried so hard to love white iPhone, I take a look & do some research on white iPhone. I'm having this cosmetic complains:

1. White iPhone expose thin black display border around the screen's edge.
2. White iPhone expose awkward looking proximity sensor above the earpiece.
3. White iPhone has this "gray shadow" around display border under certain lighting condition as if the white case is not thick enough and expose the black LCD a little bit. This makes the white iPhone looks a bit cheap.

For illustration, take a look at this photo example of white iphone:

For these purely cosmetic complains, then I decided to order a black iPhone 4s, and for those thinking white iPhones has better resale value you better think again because since 4s white and black iPhone have been released togethe, so the white one is no longer short in stock or considerably more exclusive.

And I dont understand why people here tend to up vote members who like/choose white? While black iPhone supporters tend to get down votes? Something wrong with black iPhone?

I think black is cool, more subtle and looks cleaner. And white iPhone looks cool and sexy, if white iPhone didnt have cosmetic problems I mentioned earlier, most likely I'd pick white too.

Eh, white does have a better resale value.

Sold a year old Blackberry Torch black and white. Black sold for 216&, white for 299$

My girlfriends white iPhone 4 sold for 435 on eBay, my black 4 at 350$

All auctions were bidding ones with free shipping.

The only reason I got white was because I wanted to feel like I had a new phone. And going from a black iPhone---iPhone 3G---iPhone 3GS---iPhone 4 to a black iPhone 4S felt like I was using the same 4 with a better camera.

at least with white it looks different. Still a little upset we saw absolutely no redesign.
