I'm so hurt. Man, what is everyone gonna think about my online persona?
Oh man, my credibility is lost forever :-(... I'll never be able to post on macrumors and be taken seriously... (if my sarcasm doesn't come across this time, I dunno what the heck to do)
I only had to say it was a joke when people went off the deep end lol... I even called my friends and read out loud what was going on in the thread hahaha... A lot of you may or may not realize it, the joke wasn't really told by me, but rather it was from your responses!

The worst ever , was the Gulf War oil spill. In 1991, retreating Iraqi troops blew up Kuwait's oil wells, leaking up to 11 million barrels of oil into the desert before they could be capped. It would take until June next year for the Macondo well to leak this much oil.
OMG, could everybody SERIOUSLY just lighten up for a sec? Sheesh. Clearly this wasn't a serious question. It reminded me of when someone posted on Twitter (might've been ChartAttack, but I'm not sure) a few months ago, "What's worse for you in the long run? Korn's music or a BP oil spill?" I laughed then and I laughed just now at this one.

BP is in no way any sort of evil empire... They are just a normal corporation that got ***** out of luck and had a massive catastrophe happen to them. I'm not defending them; they have no one to blame but themselves.. but that could just as easily have happened to ANY major oil company... Tons of companies cut corners to save cost and nobody knew how to solve it. BP wasn't cackling and watching as the earth squirmed....

Are we really comparing a company that is responsible for the worst environmental catastrophe in US history to a consumer friendly company that made a product with similar behavior characteristics as other like devices and turned around and gave everybody a free case (even if the majority didn't want / need it)?
