I can't believe someone is doubting my education. I was graduated from unc chapel hill... Anyways, some people found this funny, but not everyone finds the same joke funny. It wasn't my intention to rile up everyone. But I'm honestly a little shocked how uptight most people are about this. Ginsengbomb, I feel the same as you do: I too am very surprised how many people took this literally. Sort of casts a new light on people in this forum. There are a lot of angry people in this forum.

There are a lot of morons on this forum who take the iPhone way too seriously.

Are we really comparing a company that is responsible for the worst environmental catastrophe in US history to a consumer friendly company that made a product with similar behavior characteristics as other like devices and turned around and gave everybody a free case (even if the majority didn't want / need it)?

Really?

I know I'm feeding a troll here, but damn this forum is out in left field sometimes. I feel like people post this crap to get their post count up.

Another perfect example of a person who just doesn't get it. There HAS TO BE other people out there just as baffled as I am...

Wow...just wow! My ignore list is getting long these days. Does anyone know when it will be safe to read these forums again? Egads!

That's an easy one. BP.

The Apple Debacle has become downright entertaining. Nearly everyday new articles are written, and the threads here become even funnier. For the low, low price of $199... We get a unlimited pass to be part of history in the making. When out & about, the phone is a conversation piece. Onlooker: "Is that one of those problem phones?" ... :)

clearly a fine institution.

clearly a fine institution.

Thank you. Top 5 public university, we're very proud of that considering how cheap it is compared to the 4 ahead of us.

Many people don't know that it is actually correct to say "I was graduated."

"I graduated" is technically wrong, but it's acceptable in modern grammar, sort of like the word "ain't," it's just used so much that it has became the norm...

Here's another one for ya, "I'm an alumni of..." is wrong.... It's "I am an alumnus..."...

anyways, you guys are funny...

Im disappointed in the government for the weak and delayed response to the spill. In BP for not having a plan to handle this kind of situation. And in Apple for letting the noise throw their game off track.

Neither, cause my iPhone 4 works fine and I'm not some raging hippie environmentalist who wants to kick every BP exec in the stones and lock them up in jail.

Thanks for posting this.

The BP disaster *is* a serious issue, that will have a significant effect on the livelihoods of people around the gulf for some time.

But some people seem to have forgotten Bhopal - which dwarfs the gulf oil spill in terms of its severity.

It is estimated that 20,000 have died since the accident from gas-related diseases. Another 100,000 to 200,000 people are estimated to have permanent injuries.[4]

C.

who are you more disappointed with as of this moment...

A) Apple

B) BP

C) People like me who make BS threads ;-)

I'm gonna have to go with C! FTW!

*edit... j...o...k...e guys and gals...

lighten up lol

only idiots joke about the BP mess....not very tasteful dude -.- did you joke about 9/11 too?

I haven't read a single post in this thread, and I don't plan to. But the simple fact of someone comparing this iPhone "issue" to what's going on in the gulf...

Wow.

Are you kidding? Putting a ditsy thing like the non-existent iPhone problem on the scale of a private corporation despoiling a national treasure like the Gulf Coast? Lost our perspective, have we? Adulthood is going to be a rough ride for you, dearie. The self flagellation doesn't make it cuter, it makes it worse.

Let's not be so quick to dismiss this, people. What do you think is going to happen when everyone throws out those terrible iPhones? Landfills overflowing with iPhone 4s! Environmental disaster!

WTF? How can you compare apple to a company that has created a world wide ecological problem thats effects will be seen for years to come? Seems silly to me.

They haven't only just started an ecological problem, they started it whent hey became a company. Extracting oil, transporting the oil and selling the oil just to be put into the atmosphere is bad enough. They have only just increased there 'ecological destruction' by having this leak.

lol exactly, glad to see someone has a little bit of humor...

Eminem can joke around dancing with bin laden and it's all super cool and funny, I make a retarded joke about BP and Apple and everyone gets their panties in a wad... lol crazy world we live in...
