Understood. In that case you should jump on the pro max! For that ultimate awesome camera 😀
But then I would need to buy a donkey or camel to help me carry it. ;) But seriously, I have a couple of dedicated cameras that the 12 Pro Max can’t reasonably compete with, so I’m not willing to sacrifice portability just to have a best-in-class smartphone camera (yet).

The regular Pro seems like the best compromise for me even if it’s a bit bigger and heavier than I’d like. It’s also a pretty generous gift from my wife, so it’s going to be hard to be too critical of it in that context. ;)

oh no... just when i thought i had written blue off 😂
back to being confused
Blue and their version of “sea foam green” are both surprisingly nice. All told I can’t really single out a dog in the entire 2020 lineup tbh. I wouldn’t normally go for gold, but even that one looks pretty slick this year.

I am getting mini 128gb with Apple care. Nice!

I am unsure about the color (leaning towards blue), does anyone know of a iPhone 12 color comparison thread? I’d rather have images than a video tbh
I asked this today in a post. No one has provided any images yet.

Just pre-approved my interest free loan with Barclays on the U.K app for a 128GB in black. Can’t wait! Now just to sit tight until Friday...

Please Apple, release an iPhone 12 mini without magnets. I don't want magnets in my pocket.

Does anyone know what the width of the screen is? Im upgrading from 6S. And I'm unsure whether to go for the ip12 mini or regular ip12. It seems that the mini's width is smaller than the 6s, but what about the screen itself?

the silver rectangle in the middle is the 6s's screen

and im assuming the red box is the 6plus? interesting graphic
EDIT: is there a similar one that includes thet regular 12?

The fact that the mini screen is slightly smaller than the 6s is putting me a bit off.

Bought pitaka and Latercase variants in the past.
This is half the price and quality wise just as good.
Wasn’t expecting that was a blind purchase.
Awesome find! I was looking around the other day and found latter case at the time was pre-order so I ended up on eBay just poking around. I literally found latter case for like half the price on there. Maybe Lew doesn't have exclusivity to the design or case. BTW - Looking at your handle we have the same name and birth year lol. On my work computer now so I cant post a pic but I have a similar rug you have in your pics as well. I snapped a pic of the pitaka in its packaging on the rug too LMAO.

These are great comparisons and should be helpful to anyone concerned about keyboard size on the mini (not a concern of mine). Go fire up an old 6s and play around on the keyboard to get an ideal of the width of the keys you’ll be dealing with.

While I resent the model selection to an extent (i.e. what I really want is a “12 Pro Mini”), I do appreciate that Apple has given us license to take stock of our actual needs and usage requirements, and buy accordingly. The more expensive models offer features that really aren’t worth the added cost for a lot of users.

Do you, though? I was in the same boat until I saw that they've returned to the awful 6/7 practice of withholding features from the non-plate-sized model. A "Pro Mini" would probably just be the Pro we're gettin with a steel bumper.

Yes. With telephoto and lidar.
I am surprised early versions of the mini hasn’t been delivered to reviewers yet? Was expecting this to happen tbh
Embargo on 12/pro was lifted 2-3 days before the public release date.
for mini it would be next tue or wed.

The white is most appealing to me since I’m very bored and tired of black, and none of the other colors appeal to me. I also had a white iPhone 4S, so a white Mini with flat sides and the smallest iPhone form factor in a while would bring back some nostalgia. However, the way the matte black aluminum sides look and how they blend in with the bezels makes me question the white color.
